Preview: Tunneling Twigzy, Our New Arcade Game
With the addition of Polarberry Jam and Jumbleberry Fields in December, the Webkinz Arcade has been bustling lately. And while everyone has been enjoying deftly dodging Yetis and collecting berries, we’re not done with the Arcade yet. Coming soon is another brand new arcade game for your playing pleasure that will not only provide some fun solo play but will also give you the chance to compete for high scores in the Tournament Arena. Introducing Tunneling Twigzy! Tunneling Twigzy is part puzzle game and part action game, requiring both quick fingers and a quick mind. As the courageous caterpillar Twigzy, players must dig through a tree trunk to reach the ultimate party pad located towards the bottom of the trunk. While digging downwards, players must also move left and right to avoid the falling debris that tumbles down behind them as they move down the tree. In Room: Signature Dutch Bunny
As has become tradition, the Tree Kangaroo, Old English Sheepdog, and Beaver featured pets for February will be joined by a special Signature pet, the Signature Dutch Bunny. February’s Signature pet comes with Boerenkoleslaw and a Tulip Garden, which is pictured below. Soft to the touch and happy to hop into your arms, the Signature Dutch Bunny loves to snuggle. You’ll have to mind the vegetables in your yard around this one, though, as it tends to trounce about its Tulip Garden in search of carrots for some breakfast Boerenkoleslaw. In Room: Old English Sheepdog
Along with the Beaver and the Tree Kangaroo, the Old English Sheepdog is one of our featured pets for February 2010. The Old English Sheepdog comes with Sheepherders’ Pie and a Double Decker bus, which is pictured below. The Old English Sheepdog is a refined rascal who is always ready to go for a ride in its dashing Double Decker bus. This proud pet loves to feel its shaggy white coat rustling in the wind while wheeling around Webkinz World almost as much as it loves snacking on some Sheepherders’ Pie. Joining the Beaver as one of our featured pets for February is the Tree Kangaroo. The Tree Kangaroo comes with a Tropical Fruit Flan and the Remote Rainforest, which is pictured below. You’ll want to jump at the chance to adopt the new Tree Kangaroo. Boisterously bouncing about, this mirthful marsupial is always happy to hop its way around Webkinz World! And when the Tree Kangaroo all tuckered out, it loves to taste Tropical Fruit Flan and relax in its Remote Rainforest. Watch out for this wild Webkinz in February 2010!
In Room: Beaver
The long-awaited release of the Webkinz Beaver is coming next month! One of February’s featured pets, the Beaver comes with a Barkberry Smoothie and a Beaver Lodge Bed, which is pictured below. Few pets make a better buddy than a Beaver. The Beaver braves even the coldest climates as he uses his talented tail and teeth to work wood into cool creations like its Beaver Lodge Bed. Watch out for the Beaver in February 2010!
Kick off 2010 in Style With A Sock Monkey
2010 is nearly upon us, and with the new year will come a plethora of new pets. The first pet to ring in the New Year will be the stylin’ Sock Monkey! There’s nothing quite as funky as a classic Sock Monkey! With its Copabanana Split and Puppet Theater, the Sock Monkey is the perfect playmate to ring in the New Year on a light-hearted note. Preview: Duck Crossing, Our New Arena Game
The Webkinz Arcade has received a lot of attention from us recently. Earlier this month, we launched Polarberry Jam and Jumbleberry Fields, two new games for the Arcade. What about the Tournament Arena, where you can play multiplayer games against your friends? We haven’t forgotten about the Arena, and this week, we’re giving you a sneak peek of our newest Arena game, Duck Crossing! Duck Crossing is a strategy game that requires planning and patience. Each player controls a duck, and the goal of the game is to move your duck from one end of the pond to the opposite end. Players take turns moving ducks one space at a time. Players can also spend a turn placing “reeds,” which are walls that the ducks cannot pass through. Strategically placing reeds is the trick to winning. Preview: Jumbleberry Fields, Our New Daily Game
The Webkinz Arcade has been in the spotlight as of late. With two new games planned for the remaining few weeks of the year, the Arcade will be a hotbed of activity during the holiday season. Last week, we gave you a sneak peek at one of the two new games coming, Polarberry Jam. This week, we’re giving you a sneak peek of our new Daily Activity game. Introducing Jumbleberry Fields! Jumbleberry Fields is a game of chance and strategy that players can play once a day. Players roll a set of five dice, each of which has 10 faces. Each of the faces, marked with either a type of berry or a pest, has a different point value. Jumbleberries and Sugarberries are common, Pickleberries are less common, and Moonberries are rare. Players move through 9 rounds, rolling each dice up to three times in an attempt to earn the most points possible by making varying combinations of berries. Preview: Polarberry Jam, Our New Arcade Game
This week, the Creative Director put out a tease on our official Twitter account: there will be two brand new Arcade games coming to the Webkinz Arcade before Christmas, and one will be the first new daily Arcade game since Wishing Well 2. We’re now ready to give you guys a sneak peek of one of our upcoming Arcade games: introducing Polarberry Jam! In this fast-paced action game, players help Inukshuk, the lovable Polar Bear from Polar Plunge, elude mischievous Yetis. Dodging the Yetis can be tough sometimes, but Inukshuk can collect and throw snowballs at the Yetis to stun them, as well. The goal of the game is to collect all the polarberries scattered about the level without touching the Yetis. There are 15 increasingly-challenging levels to best, and an exclusive Trophy awaits those who guide Inukshuk to the end of the game. Plus, you’ll earn KinzCash for your pets as you play, like all our other awesome Arcade games. You’ll find this new game in the Webkinz Arcade soon. How exciting!
