Feedback Friday: What Communal Contest Challenges Would You Like?

feedbackfriday

Welcome to the weekly edition of Feedback Friday, where we ask a question and look to our wonderful Webkinz members for answers that we will use to make Webkinz World better. This is your chance to influence the way that Webkinz World evolves!

This week, we launched the Communal Contest feature which challenges players to work together to overcome a goal in order to win a sweet prize. We’ve got a bunch of challenges lined up of varying difficulties, including some that require everyone to play a certain game to earn a large number of points and others that require sending KinzPost gifts, but we want to hear what kind of challenges you think the community can finish.

This week’s question is…

What Communal Contest challenges would you like to see?

Would you like a challenge to collect a certain number of gems? What about a challenge to plant a certain number of saplings in the Caring Valley? What challenges do you think the community could finish? Remember: the harder the challenge, the better the rewards! Give us some feedback by commenting now!

I think you should do something easier like getting 5,000 points in Smoothie Moves or Pizza Palace. Because 6,000,000,000 was SO hard to do.

I agree that the Communal Contest challenge this week was way to tough. I will admit I am not very good at Goober’s Lab, but even when I did get a good run, I barely broke 10,000 points. A definite adjustment is in order to keep people interested and playing.
I would also like to see a tally of points on the status page for the challenge with “X” # of points earned and perhaps “X” # of points needed to win the challenge. The thermometer is cool, but not really all that helpful. It may also be nice to know how many members of the Webkinz community are participating in the challenge. That way we all know how much we need to play and earn to meet the challenge collectively.

Why don’t you make the goal easier! Like trying to do a job. I couldn’t get 1,000,000 points in that game! That would take longer than 2 days! You would have to play nonstop to reach that goal!

Thanks for asking us our thoughts on the contest. Here are mine:

    1) Communal contests are a wonderful idea. I LOVE the idea of everyone in Webkinz World working together to win prizes for the whole community.

    2) W-Shop items aren’t as exciting a prize as A decent amount of KC, an activity, or a new item to Webkinz World. Maybe even a special contest hat? Also a lot of kids would get excited about the possiblity of winning a rare or an exclusive for special contests. If you are doing small prizes for fun, that is great, but make the contest doable then.

    3) If the goal was set too high, I think that Ganz should have offered a consolation prize for everyone who tried to play Goobers Lab that weekend. A number of kids tried really hard, and it would have been lovely if you could have rewarded them for their efforts.

In summation, this was a great idea. It just needs better execution the next time around.

  5. Muffin says:

If you have a goal so high, it shouldn’t be completed in 1 game. Each time we play, it should add up the points. So the by the end of the weekend, if you have reached to goal in the amount of games you play, you get the prize.
    Thanks for listening,

Since this first contest goal was accidently set too high to reach, it would have been a nice gesture to have given everyone the prize anyway. Just a thought ;)

Otherwise, a fun activity. Having special prizes that you can only get from the communal contest would be nice too. Thanks Ganz ;)

    cash cow rocks!!!!!!!

  8. petsplus says:

I think you should have ads in the side bar about the contests so more people know about it and therefore compeat

  9. CeeJae08 says:

If you are going to put the goal so high, have us play an easier game. Smoothie Moves, Cash Cow, Zingoz Pop, Bamboo Break. Based on some of the comments above, maybe the instructions weren’t so clear.

I like the concept of the contest. Seemed a little hard to reach the goal this first time. Special prizes just to the contest or retired items would be fun to work for. I look forward to more communal contests. Thanks Ganz
