Welcome to Feedback Friday, where we ask a question and look to our wonderful Webkinz members for answers that we will use to make Webkinz World better. This is your chance to influence the way that Webkinz World evolves! | ![]() |
Last week on Webkinz World™ we made available the MAZIN”™ Hamsters demo, and on Webkinz Newz we asked you what you liked about it. Now, MAZIN’ Hamsters is fully live. There are many more mazes you can play, as well as being able to build your own mazes and maze pieces. Have you played MAZIN’ Hamsters yet? If you have, please feel free to take this opportunity to tell us all about it!
This week’s question is…
What do you think of MAZIN’ Hamsters?
Do you like exploring mazes? Do you like the Hamsters’ victory dances? If you think MAZIN’ Hamsters could be improved, how do you think we could do that? Give us some feedback by commenting now!
they are so cute
hey, Ganz,
i know it probably takes a long time to judge all of the contest entries, but can you finish the hamster contest soon? i’m DIEING to know if i won or not!! i know i shouldn’t get my hopes up, but still, the suspence is KILLING me!!! LOL!! i LOVE the idea of the mazin’ hamsters cuz i’ve always wanted a hamster, but since i can’t get one i can get a webkinz one!! YAY!!(just don’t forget to manage the webkinz site!;-) thanks!
I love Mazin Hamsters. So far I have three. I hope the “coming soon” areas (mall, community mazes, other mazes, etc.) open soon because I won both of the trophies already.
Now for two suggestions for the Ganz programmers:
1. In the “build” section (rooms, tubes), it would be better if it was programmed so that users could input a list of tasks and the hamsters work on building the items on the list. (ex. medium curve, then small spiral, then long straight, then tree coaster room). This is a similar idea to what they do on the Sims games in terms of task directing. Adding this function would be good because users wouldn’t need to check back every 40 minutes (or however long) to reassign new tube building.
2. If a user is on Mazin Hamsters for a certain length of time, Webkinz gives a pop-up prompt indicating that the user hasn’t done anything in a long time and asking if they want to log out (automatic logout in 2 mins if not answered). Webkinz needs to programmed to recognize that doing something in mazin hamsters IS in fact doing something in Webkinz, so that this prompt doesn’t happen. It is a very annoying disturbance to occue when you are trying to complete the hardest “beat the clock” maze!!!
Thanks, Ganz, for making this awesome and fun subsection of Wedkinz World! I want to get more and more hamsters!!!
I just got Sweetie today and she`s the cutest of them all!
