Ice Swan Contest Winners

Congratulations to Gabrielle, Anya, Taylor, Janice and Jennifer! They’ve each been sent a Secret Code for an eStore exclusive Ice Swan! We wanted to know what happened when the Ice Swan met the Fire Fawn. Read the winning entries below!

The Ice Swan saw the Fire Fawn, and thought that she was beautiful. The only problem was if the Ice Swan got near the Fire Fawn, then she would melt! The Ice Swan was terrified. So, she hid behind a rock, and said quietly to the Fire Fawn, “Hi. I’m Ice Swan. You are very beautiful to me, but I’m also afraid of you because If I get too close to you, then I will melt!” The Fire Fawn heard this. She felt sad because many animals didn’t like her because she was made of fire. “It’s OK,” She replied. “Just because I’m fire and you’re ice doesn’t mean that we can’t be friends, does it?” This made Ice Swan feel better. “We can, but how?” That got them both to thinking. “Hey!” Fire Fawn says. “I just remembered, that just for this purpose, I made a special coat so other animals wouldn’t get too hot, or, in your case, melt.” Fire Fawn thew Ice Swan the coat. “There,” Ice Swan and Fire Fawn said. “Now we can play.” The End :) – Gabrielle

All Smoky the Fire Fawn was doing was frolicking in the fiery grass of Flame Field when Sparkles the Ice Swan frantically ran through, melting all of the grass. “What are you doing here?!? This is a FIERY field! It’s not for icy fellows like you!” Smoky yelled at Sparkles. An icy tear rolled down Sparkles’ face. “I… I was… lost! I would never ever disturb plants! I grow some myself, you see,” Sparkles muttered. After seeing Sparkles look like that, Smoky realized what she’d done. “I’m so sorry I made you feel that way! I didn’t know that I was going to hurt your feelings. I tend to be a little rough sometimes. Why don’t you come to my house for some fudge and fruit punch?” A huge smile spread across Sparkles’ face. “I would love to!” she exclaimed. Since then, Smoky and Sparkles have been best friends. - Anya

The day that the cold Ice Swan and the burning-hot Fire Fawn met was almost tragic. That day started when the Ice Swan went to buy new furniture from Frozen Forest. On her way, she noticed a road she had never seen, so she decided to go on an adventure before shopping. As she started down the new road, she thought she saw a fire in the woods further down the road. “I wonder what is going on over there!” she said, concerned. Now, without realizing it, she was running toward the flame. Soon, she noticed it was smaller than it appeared earlier. It was only about her size. After that, she slowed down and walked slowly toward the thing. She then realized it was a creature. Actually, it was a fawn made of fire. He said, “Who are you! Stay back!” All she said next was “I am the Ice Swan.” Now the Fire Fawn seemed angry. He tried to jump at her, but she ran out of the way. She calmed him down, and tried talking about themselves. Then they were the best of friends, forgetting that terrible day. – Taylor

One day the Ice Swan was swimming around the pond that she lived in. From a distance, she saw the Fire Fawn walking up. They started talking and became good friends. But there was one problem. They could not get close to each other. The Ice Swan would melt and the Fire Fawn would start getting cold. They were very unhappy and very sad. Some of their Webkinz friends came up and asked why they were so sad. They told them that they wanted to go to the Webkinz park and play, but they would melt or freeze each other. Their friends told them to go to the W Shop and get some shields and clothing that would protect them. So off they went, got their clothing, went to the park and played and played. They thanked their friends and asked them to go and play with then. They all had a good time. The end - Janice

One day in Webkinz World a Ice Swan named Kayla was up early. Kayla had soft feathers like silk, but she was shy for most girls her age. “My, what a beautiful day, I think I’m going to go skating today.” Then she grabbed her skates and walked down to the pond. When she got there she began to skate, across the field there was a Fire Fawn named Ryan. Ryan’s fur was darker than the other Fire Fawn’s, but even though he didn’t look like much, Ryan had a heart of gold. Kayla didn’t see Ryan because she was having too much fun on the ice, until she accidentally tripped over a rock. She fell down with a crash! Ryan rushed to her and helped her up. Kayla look up to see a Fire Fawn above her. She ran behind a rock, but when she looked over she saw Ryan sitting with tears in his eyes. Kayla walked to him and said, “I’m sorry I just got a little scared.” “That’s OK, my name’s Ryan.” “I’m Kayla, want to be friends?” said Kayla. “OK.” And they were best friends ever since.
