Molly Pig: Future Superstar?

Dear Diary,

Sometimes, I like having a little sister. Like when Millie is at school or asleep. Then she’s just great. Other times, however, I just really wish I was an only child.

Like today.

I’ve been SUPER excited about the Kinzville Sings contest coming up – I mean, really – it’s going to be the biggest thing that’s ever happened to Kinzville. I’m a pretty good singer, and an OK dancer. I thought that with a little practice, though, I could take it to the next level. So that’s what I tried (key word is ‘tried’) to do.

Until Millie came along, that is.

I was singing a song I had made up, and practicing dance moves that I had seen in a music video, when Millie marched into my room and told me to knock it off.

I told her it was important to practice. She said that maybe I should practice outside because my singing was giving her a headache and my dancing sounded like a herd of buffalo.

I told her she should mind her own business.

One thing lead to another and we ended up yelling at each other.

My mom was trying to get some work done at home, so she wasn’t too pleased. But guess what? She actually AGREED with Millie. She said, “Molly, I understand that you need to practice. But other pigs live in this house, and you’re not exactly quiet. Outside sounds like a perfect place to practice.”

So I ended up in the backyard.

After singing and dancing on the deck for about an hour, I got the sense that I was being watched.

And I was. By Millie and her little friends, standing at the back door. They were all laughing hysterically.

Millie had called them over to see ‘the show.’
Anyway, long story short, I stomped out to the tree house and practiced there. Which isn’t easy, because the roof is kind of low and there’s not a lot of dancing room.

If I don’t end up winning the contest, you’ll know why.

Love,

Molly

I understand your frustration, Molly, but you do have to share your home with your family. Milly inviting her friends over to watch you work out your routine was not my favorite thing – you had not yet perfected it and they laughed not with you, but at you. It seems unkind to me. I wonder if you could find a more private and useful place to practice – not certain where that would be, but think about it. Maybe there is somewhere you can go … Congratulations for trying to get better! Good luck in the competition! All the best! MDIChickadee

Oh, did I mention that me and my sister are nine years apart!?!?!?! It can be hard being the youngest too though Molly, She may just be jealous she doesn’t get to go on the T.V show.

Aw poor Molly! Millie, if you’re listening, that’s not very nice. At all. Molly wants to practice for what’s important to her! You can’t just go out of your way to bug her! I’m glad I’m an only child. ~CC~

I’m five years older than my littlest sister too! (I have to put up with THREE LITTLE SISTERS!) and once I had made a little clay town on a small desk in my room, AND MY YOUNGEST SISTER SMASHED IT ALL WHEN I WASN’T THERE THE DAY I GOT MORE CLAY! :( At least I have more now. But it will take a LONG time to replace my other stuff. Oh well. Little sisters. Listen to this- Little sister (I mean really little, like up to 5 years.) + a little bit of annoying (or a lot of annoying) = TROUBLE! LOOK OUT!

Aw I’m sorry Molly, that’s really awful. I’m glad that I’m the youngest in my family and I don’t have to put up with that… But my sister and brother do, LOL. -PHN :D

I’m the little brother, and this was never a problem for Time Bandit, because the moment she’dstart singing, I’d plug my ears and be gone! I was pretty immature, but I’m sure Time Bandit would prefer my reaction over Millie’s

I’m the exact opposite! I’m the oldest of four kids, and I have to put up with that same kind of stuff almost every day!
