Well, as everyone knows, the Rabbit family is expecting a new addition in a couple of months. To prepare for his or her arrival (Hailey says it’s going to be a girl…but I think it’s definitely a boy), we decorated the nursery today. Since we’re not sure if it’s a boy or girl, we kept the color palette neutral (and really, does it matter if a girl has a blue room or a boy has a pink room? Anyone can like any color they want!).
Here’s what we came up with:
I know the little bunny is going to LOVE this calming, gentle space. It’s just perfect for a baby…and when he or she grows up, we can come back and redecorate again!
Personally, I think it’ll be a boy, because there were a lot of blue stuff for the baby previously. ♥
The bookshelf doesn’t fit. It’s the Odd One Out! (OOO) Apart from the OOO, I think it’s all good! Very gentle and baby-perfect! ~CC~
I agree with you, MDIChickadee!! Besides, the baby will receive millions of presents like toys, clothing etc. when it´s born, so the room will be filled quickly. Werallunique☺☻♥♪♫☼ ;) :)
This is kinda disappointing. There is only ONE item in this room that isnt the same theme as the rest. Kinda a bummer
Hailey and Elwin – you have done it again! What a perfect room!! You provided the basics – the Rabbit family can add their own personal touches (toys, whatever …) too. And while it looks a bit empty now, as the little bunny grows, its furniture will become larger, so you have provided enough space for those transitions to happen. I really like that you have used furniture from the W-Shop! What a great room!! All the best! MDIChickadee
I love it! It looks perfect for a new baby! You did a great job Elwin and hailey! >>j3gnight2011<<<
Add some little toys 4 the baby. I also agree about the pink & blue. I like blue MUCH better & I’m a girl. ~Lemon*Starburst~
i so don’t like that room. The room should be a soft shade of ornage, with a white or baige crib. there should be a white wooden rocker, and a white changing table. there is no crib in the room. the room should have carpet tiles, in case the baby makes a mess on one, because carpet tiles are easy to replace. babies can’t read yet, and most babies have no earthly idea what you are saying to them, so i would take the bookshelf out and put it in a libary or something. the wood floor is a bad idea because the babie’s skin is sensitive, and nobody want’s their baby to get hurt. i was thinking, for the walls, a light shade of orange, so that (if it is a boy) it can add dark blue accesories. if it is a girl they can add pink acessories and it will last for years to come and Mr. and Mrs. Rabbit will not have to paint for a good long while. -kewlness P.S. EVERY BODY IS SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
well said KEWLNESS!! so totally agree with you! i wish i could paint my real world room but we rent so i put up decals of jungle animals and flowers. light orange would be cool in my real room with the sage green stuff i have!! ~tygerkit~
First of all, they are decorating with things availabe on Webkinz. Where is there a white or beige crib? , A white wooden rocker?, A white changing table??? Look again. There IS a crib in the room. It is available. How do you think babies learn? They SHOULD be read to, frequently! Takling and reading is a must for every baby, no matter how young. The hardwood floor is an excellent idea, as carpet can hold things that a newborn might be alergic to. A hard floor is easier to clean. I don’t see how a baby can be hurt. Newborns aren’t put on the floor and hopefull, the baby won’t be dropped. Area rugs are just fine. Newborns see primarily in black and white. Colors are mostly to please the parents. A soft shade of peach with tones of soft green/sage go well together, but then, again, we have to go with what’s available in wshop/estore.
Well said. I like it except I think the bookcase looks out of place because it is darker that everything else. Remorso11
its not really playful….
I could do better a lot better you might want redecorate right now no offense. – ^.~ Skypelt
me too! anyway i would love that book shelf!
It is true that a girl can have a blue room, but it’s a tradition to have a pink room for a girl at least the first year. Northwestern says that if it weren’t for her getting tired of having to wear pink until she was two and a half, she may have never liked the color blue the way she does now.
LOL, yeah Kodiac. I wore every color when I was little. My favorite color use to be polka dots (which Isnt really a color, except for the rainbow). Now my favorite color is aqua! Pink second and white third. Aqua, pink, and white. Thats the 3 colors of my room now! Light blue walls, pink stuff (like beds, chairs, pillows, ect.), and white and black zebra print carpet. I just know its going to be a boy. Because of Millie and the color of the box and chair is blue. ~KK♥
I used to wear yellow a lot when I was a little kid. :) kk, those are my favorite colors too! Except I like other shades of blue too like indigo, periwinkle, and sky blue. ~(*)sparklegirlLT(*)
It’s wonderful!!!!!! very creative and very neutral
KK that my favorite colors too! but instead of white is my fourth green is my third pink second and aqua/blue is my first! KK when is your birthday? because I would love to send you a gift on webkinz when it is. And its a boy because when roberta did the boy names her mom and dad like them and was more deciding on the boy names. – ^.~ Skypelt
haha those are my favorite colors too except pink is first. I’m moving and i wanna decorate my room like you described yours! LOL
my room is blue AND green.
I have to agree with skypelt. It needs a lot of work, and maybe they should have added things like toys and a crib. I thought that the baby was going to be sleeping in the nursery. Also, it is basically the nursery room theme with a few added things. Sorry, Hailey and Elwin. (*(*dragonfish*)*)
I think they did a fine job with the room, considering it had to be done with furniture/walls/floor that was available in all of webkinz world. gymdog. I agree about the bookshelf. I like to think of it as an old heirloom piece from great-great-grandma’s attic. Thing were well made years ago, and this would be a treasure to have in an infants room. It might not be a perfect match with the rest of the things, but with a little imagination, think of the stories it could tell…literally.
okaaaay, not really what I was expecting. It’s just….. bare. Not enough decor and things in it. Sorry Hailey and Elwin, not this time. I like my nursery a lot better.
I think they should at least by a few toys and stuff… But other than that its cute! But woulden’t it be akward if a boy had a pink room? ~Azula Tiger
…a bit empty, don’t you think?
I think I really like the room! But it’s kinda a baby tradition that a boy has a blue room and a girl has a pink room. At least, for babies. Other than that, I think it’s pretty good! ~Phoenix Wind~
I think the baby is going to be a boy! Your friend sarahandlacey!  ;-) :-)
