Dear Cousin Ruby,
You’ll NEVER believe what I found out today – something TERRIBLE happened to my bridesmaids’ dresses. Know how they’re supposed to be a lovely light pink? Well, it turns out that someone left them in the dye too long. And now? They’re NEON pink! I can’t believe it. Persephone must have apologized a hundred times. It wasn’t her fault, of course. Just a mistake one of her assistants made. But…oh, Ruby. I don’t know what I’m going to do if Persephone can’t make new dresses in time for the wedding! I suppose worse things could happen…but hopefully they won’t!
I promise to do my best to make sure you’re not wearing neon pink to my wedding.

holy cow! i hope she and her assistants can fix the prob. i kinda think that pink to a wedding is kinda weird, but that’s what makes it too cool to wear! at least everyone feels sorry for you.

Ditto. I thought the wedding had hit the skids. How about a sheer over lay of a more mellow color fabric over the pink neon would work. Hope this helps.

that’s O.K. Plumpy. You can just sew some sheer white fabric overtop of the pink fabric that way it doesn’t look so pink. and why did you use dye? why didn’t you just buy the fabric in the color you wanted? Sorry, I don’t mean to critisize . I hope the wedding goes as planned.
