Roberta’s Rec Room

The Rabbit family has a lovely, large basement. When we asked Roberta’s parents what they wanted to do with it, they said they only wanted three things down there:

1.       A craft room for Roberta

2.       A workshop for Robert (Roberta’s dad)

3.       A playroom/recreation room for the new baby and Roberta

Today, we started with the recreation/playroom.   We knew that this room would allow us to be really whimsical and creative. After all, it’s for kids and it’s in the basement. Here’s what we came up with:

As you can see, half of the room is for Roberta and her friends, and half is perfect for a little bunny. Pretty awesome, right? Roberta sure thought so! What do you think, friends?

This is nice. Roberta and her friends will be able to move the babies toys to the cornor until it’s older and have more room.then they will want to play with the baby in it’s area for a while. The only one who didn’t get what he wanted was Robert and dad’s usually don’t, hopefully there’s a garage we don’t know about. jennifer

jennifer – I think this room is ONLY the rec room – that the workshop and craft room for Roberta are still in the works. :-) All the best! MDIChickadee

Hmmm … it is a nice room. I love the colors and the furnishings – it all goes together so well! If I could make one change, I would move some of the baby bunny’s things to its room (which, as I recall, was large and rather empty) and give Roberta a bit more space for her things. However, if Roberta and the Rabbits like this arrangement, then all is well. All the best! MDIChickadee

Its great! I LUV it! Design it in my Webkinz house please?! Anddddd my real house. Never gonna happen but hey, a girl can dream right? :) Only 1 thing I’m concerned about. Wouldn’t the baby distract Roberta & her friends since they’re basically in the same room? U know how loud & distracting babies r. ~Lemon*Starburst~

Well, it is very, um. . . unqiue? When I thnk of a Rec Room, I think of a little more classy, organized. I would want Brick Walls and Hard Wood flooring. I would add 2 sofas (the nice cream ones that $450 in the WShop) and the TV that is in Roberta’s room. I would put the TV so that you could see the screen, and I would put it in a corner. Then I would use dividers to section off one entire corner of the room and put lots of toys in it along with some nursery items, perfect for a little bunny. I would also make a study corner. I would also, lastly make a sitting, relaxing spot. Some Bean Bags and comfortable chairs with it. There would also be the Jelly Trampoline. To me, that would be a nice rec room. I honestly have never been a very playful kid, so, I might have reflected that in my design. -Moonstar◙◙◙

I agree!!!!! But I don’t really think Elwin and Hailey’s creation was very good…:(

I actually don’t mind this room! I like your idea Moonstar, don’t get me wrong…. but I think this room is pretty neat. One thing, though… the tv area is a bit squished. I think I would switch it with the stool and radio area. And, a baby area is supposed to be a little eclectic. It doesnt have to be completely organized and sleek. It’s for a baby! #notbad -SquirrelFlight

The floors scare me, and the t.v. is squished to the table and sofa. The colors are too bright too. ;-)

I love this room! I especially love the ball pit. I agree with Philadelphia Kinz, though. Isn’t there supposed to be a workshop for Roberta’s dad? It really is great though. (*(*dragonfish*)*)

It took me a while to see this, but it says the started on the playroom/recreation room. I had to read it about THREE times to figure that out.

Aw, the baby section looks adorable! The gumdrop thing, the jelly thing, and that blue Wacky Zingoz! ♥

    • Nightfire says:

Too clashy. But then again, it is a basement. *Nightfire* ^..^

    • QueenVet says:

I don’t like this one, I’m sorry …. the colors don’t blend together as nicely, and everything seems bunched along the walls when there’s more than enough room to spread things out. The floors don’t work well, and too many themes are incorporated. Sorry guys, this one is one of my lesser favorites.

    • wow. i really like this room!!!! says:
