Summertime Craft – Beanbag Toss

Molly is going to have to babysit Millie for a few weeks this summer, and she was trying to figure out some fun games to play with her. This is one of my favorites – beanbag toss!

What you need:

Large piece of Bristol Board, markers, scissors, felt, needle and thread, small sandwich bags, dried beans

  1. To make the beanbags, cut out two five-inch felt squares per bag. Sew around three sides of the square (leave one side open).
  2. Fill a sandwich bag halfway with dried beans. Seal the sandwich bag.
  3. Put the sandwich bag into your felt square. Sew up the last side. Now you’ve got a beanbag!
  4. To make the target, draw circles on the Bristol board, using a marker. You can make one big target, or several smaller ones worth different numbers of points.
  5. When you’re all ready, stand back and toss that beanbag. If you get it onto the target, keep track of how many points you scored.

Whoever has the most points after five throws is the winner!

I am twelve and I do sew but I don’t think that very many kids do, so maybe it should just say to hot glue the sides maybe. PS I didn’t know that Molly sewed that is so cool!

Not a bad kids game to play. Millie might like this, I have a feeling. And I once made something up like this for my little cousin, and she loved it. It was so cute to watch her play too. ~Chicago Made☠

Cool, but maybe cut holes in the spaces & write the holes on top. Then, make the board stand up some how & toss the beanbags inside the hole. What do u think Ganz? :) #Lemon^Starburst#

@LemonStarburst- yeah, that’s a good idea. Especially the holes. It would also be nice to have it stand up. Like it Ganz? I guess that they thought it would be too complicated. Oh well.
