As you know, Winterfest will last from January 15th until January 23rd! When you hunt snowflakes in Webkinz World, you'll receive a random prize each time you click on a snowflake, but on Webkinz Newz it works a little differently!
Each day, a different prize will be available. All Webkinz World members can win one prize per account, per day.

How do you hunt for snowflakes?
On Webkinz Newz:
Each time you load a page, there's a chance that the snowflake will appear. The snowflake loads offscreen, so it may take a few moments (after the page has finished loading) for the snowflake to appear.
On Webkinz World:
Make sure your dock is visible while you're playing. This means you can play in places like your room, the Clubhouse or Quizzy's. If the dock isn't visible, the snowflakes won't appear. If your cursor is being used by a game (gardening, making a wish in the Wish Factory, etc), you won't be able to click on the snowflake. Every few minutes, there's a chance that a snowflake will appear.

Hey these prizes rock! So if you think they “stink” they don’t. The cookies are exatly what christmas is about and that what winterfest is kind of about. So please don’t critisise!
Everyone who has not found one yet, don’t give up!!! I have found 16 in the last 2 days, that’s alot!!! SOOOOO, do not sit on WebkinzNewz, its a waste of time!! Go log into your account. Decorate a room! Go to the clubhouse and trade! Go to the Girls Rule Room, Party Room, anything just don’t sit on WebkinzNewz. Ooh and BTW, I get the most in the clubhouse. ~Faith

I won the snow cone on the 16th! i also won peppermint hot chocolate and am a proud pet owner.
i wish the snow flakes fell more often, i think they only fall once every 20 minutes. mabe they could fall once every 10 or 15 minutes, also they only appear in certin areas, like your house or the newz page, mabee they could fall in other areas too, like the arcade or at the acadamy. also you could come up with some more creative prizes, like some winter boots, or snow pants? don’t get me wrong, the idea is great, but there is room for improvment!!!

Too bad these prizes are limited. They are really cute. I would prefer to keep my homepage open to WN and having the activities list up, and I could collect snowflakes but I can only get one! I am on the lookout for collecting those snowflakes. Sometimes I feel ripped off when I have to work too hard for Kinzcash or prizes, but when they just float on by like that, it makes it really FUN.
