What you need:

  • 2 shoe boxes with lids
  • Duct tape
  • Cardboard
  • Clear tape
  • 2 white cloths
  • Markers
  • Tissues
  • Scissors

What you do:

1.     Cut the shoeboxes so that they are about 2 inches tall.

2.     Place them on 1 of the lids, duct tape the lid to the boxes.

3.     Do to the same to the other lid.

4.     Roll up the tissues to form the pillows.

5.     Cut out one rectangle about 7 inches long out of cardboard, tape it to one of the long ends of the top shoe box.

6.     Cut 2 rectangles of cardboard out that are about 5 inches long, tape them to the short ends of the top shoe box.

7.     Cut out one rectangle 4 inches long and another 1 inch long out of cardboard tape them to the other long end of the top shoe box.

8.     Decorate the clothes however you want to use for blankets.

9.     Tape the pillows to the bed.

10.  Now you have a bunk bed.

Do you have a great idea for a craft, recipe or party game? We’d love to hear them!

Hmmmm….interesting. I like it, though, but maybe you could try clear tape for the bed to get rid of the gray duct tape look. It would maybe look better, though, if you used colored duct tape so you don’t have to color it with markers or anything. It saves time AND looks neater. But I really do like the idea, it’s cute! I’m going to try it today!

I made a bunk bed for my lil’ kinz once! Mine was much better, because I sewed a mattress and made fabric pillows and got a piece of felt for a blanket, but this one is creative.

Great ideas! One could cover it with a nice wrapping paper or even comics from the newspaper to make it even more fun.

If you use mailing tape it should still hold together and not have the duct tape look. I do like it and it is a good idea.

My idea was to make a little WK ”set”. You can make a basket out of cloth? Maybe. . . . then, you can put all things WK in it?? If someone could make that work, that would be great. -Moonstar*

Hey, maye instead of a cloth bag, like some kind of closet! Hmm, it could be made out of tought card board, then painted white-gray. You could make litttle knobs out of plastic or balls or more carboard, painted gold. Then, it opens up in the middle and inside is 3 shelves. You could glue it or if it is the right size, it will just stay inside! You could make mini hangers out of clay or something too. Does that seem like a good idea? -Moonstar*

I’m sorry, I already made a closet, and will be sending it in. I’m not trying to be mean, so sorry if it sounds like it. By the way, my closet looks nothing like what you picture. You have made me sad. Now, PLEASE do not talk about the closet any more. Thanks ahead.

I agree…….I think it needs a May Makeover. So, we take the pets out and put the away.
