What you need:
- White printer paper
- Yellow construction paper
- Orange construction paper
- Markers
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Ruler
- Ribbon
What you do:
- Print out the letters to spell out “Happy Birthday” using your favorite fill in font.
- Cut out each letter to be 5 x 5 inch square.
- Color in the font letters with your favorite markers or highlighters for that extra punch!
- Using your ruler as a straight edge, tear into 7 x 7 inch squares from the yellow construction paper.
- Glue the cut out decorated letters in the middle of the yellow squares.
- Again, using your ruler as a straight edge, tear 9 x 9 inch squares of orange construction paper.
- Glue the yellow squares in the middle of the orange squares.
- Punch holes in the upper corners and thread your ribbon through it.
- Hang banner for you and the birthday boy or girl to enjoy!
