Alright, Here’s the new thread for the Adventure Roleplay! Ah, I kinda hate having to move it again, but… since the page on the “Meet My New Pet” forum isn’t working well anymore, I thought that putting it here would be for the best

And, just as a refresher, here’s the list of characters and what order we go in: Me (@TaffyKitty12) (Characters: Pikachu (boy fennec fox) and Tall Shadow (girl signature snow leopard)), @ilovemoonie (Characters: James (boy signature siberian husky) and Lightning (boy signature cougar)), @FennecFox (I’m assuming she’s still participating in it whenever she’s able to come on; Characters: Licorice (girl signature black bear) and Samwise (boy fennec fox)), and @_emiemiemiemiemi_ (Character: Violet (girl signature ocelot)) NOTE: Dolphinlover and lavadragon are no longer participants in this roleplay (Dolphinlover exited out last January, and I’m pretty sure Emi told me that lava isn’t going to be participating in this roleplay any longer, so their pets, Snowball, Fiona, Woods, and Hunter, are no longer in it) Also, whenever Fennec isn’t active on here, Emi has permission to go before her))

~1~ “I guess so…”, replied Pikachu, as he rubbed the back of his next, “But it’s a little hard when bugs are so… scary!” He listened to Lightning’s mumbled words afterwards, and he looked down at the ground, a bit saddened that his cougar friend was ridiculing him. “Well, looking for treasure sounded really fun, so… even though I knew that jungles are crawling with bugs, I decided ‘why not?’… you know? I mean, how could I resist treasure? And um, no problem, James. Oh, really? I didn’t know that, but I guess I’m glad I’m not the only one!” ~~~ Pikachu, who was still recovering from his “shock”, looked at the turtle that was waddling away. He was happy that the creature wasn’t a giant, hairy arthropod like he first thought, but the ‘encounter’ still left him a bit frightened. Wandering turtles, giant spiders… I wonder what else could be lurking in this jungle??? However, before he could let his thoughts fill him with anxiety, he tried to calm himself down. After all, he was on the path to finding treasure… no nasty bug could stop him from that!…

~2~ … He then looked around, and noticed that Lightning was laughing. Pikachu was about to ask him why (thinking that the cougar thought about a funny joke or something), when he realized that the he was probably laughing at him for the whole tarantula incident. His ears began to droop a little, when he suddenly felt someone pat his arm and say something to him. He looked up and saw Violet, who was still smiling and looking friendly as ever despite what happened. “Thanks, Violet”, said Pikachu, who managed to muster a small grin, “I guess I’ve just been a little on-edge with all of the bugs… and thanks, James”, he then replied to the siberian husky, “I can’t believe I thought a turtle was a tarantula, but… I’m glad I was wrong, heheh.” ~~~ Tall Shadow still sat on the log. She noticed from the corner of her eye that Lightning was staring at her, but at this point in time, she really didn’t care. All she wanted was to forget about Pikachu’s “embarrassing” incident. The snow leopard was so deep in her thoughts that she almost didn’t notice when Violet sat next…

~3~ … when Violet sat next to her, and asked her a question. Tall Shadow slowly turned her head towards the ocelot, but didn’t look her in the eyes; instead, she gazed down at the ground. “Oh u-uh… yeah, I’m okay. Nothing’s wrong. I-I’m fine, but um… th-thanks for asking…”, Tall stuttered in reply. She felt bad for lying to Violet, since the ocelot was so sweet and caring, but she was embarrassed to admit the fact that was upset in front of everyone. ~~~ Pikachu took one last look at the turtle, which had now disappeared into the bushes, and walked back over to the logs, taking a seat on one of the “unoccupied” ones (not before spraying it with All-Insect-Be-Gone bug spray, of course) He opened up his pack, and took out a brown paper bag, which contained a wrapped turkey and cheese sandwich, two chocolate chip cookies, a plastic bag filled with some grapes, a package of sour gummy worms, and a small bag of potato chips. The fennec fox then gazed at all of his friends, and asked, “Do ya guys have something for lunch? If not, I have…

~4~ … plenty of food to share with you all! I got sandwiches, fruit, chips, candy… all sorts of things!” Tall Shadow slowly raised her paw, and quietly asked, “C-can I have some… chips?” “Yeah, sure!”, replied Pikachu. He grabbed a bag of regular potato chips and tossed it to the snow leopard. She caught them and mouthed the words “thanks”, but Pikachu could tell that she looked a bit upset. Huh, I wonder what’s wrong… maybe I’ll go ask her once we’re done eatin’ The fennec fox then proceeded to start eating his sandwich, while looking at the treasure map at the same time (he was pleased to see that they were on the right course, despite all the two bug incidents that occurred). Once he was done glancing at it, he gazed at his friends, and asked, “So uh, anything you guys wanna talk about while we eat? Do you have any questions for me or is there somethin’ ya want to discuss?” Pikachu then smiled, though he also hoped that his question wouldn’t be an incentive for the others to discuss the “tarantula situation”. ~~~~~ (Ah I just realized….

XD Oh my gosh, if a real tarantula popped up at some point… let’s just say it wouldn’t end well XD (Poor Pikachu would be frightened beyond belief!) You should apologize to him.” Lightning sighed. “Ugh…okayyy…then will you leave me alone?” “Sure.” James then turned to Pikachu. “No problem,” he said with a nod. “It’s all right…sometimes we jump to conclusions and think that something is what it’s not…we all do that, no worries. But yes, I think we’re all glad that it wasn’t actually a tarantula,” the husky said with a small smile, and then, nudging Lightning, he added, “By the way…I think Lightning wants to say something to you…?” Lightning sighed and stepped forward. “Sorry for laughing at you…I didn’t uh, mean to make you feel bad…” The cougar paused, and then said, “But, you know, I wasn’t really laughing at you…I was mainly just laughing because, uh…the turtle…looked funny.” A moment later, when Lightning and James went over to their log…

You had to lie?” Lightning shrugged. “It was pretty genuine, and anyway, the turtle did did look funny, you’ve got to admit.” ~~~ A minute or two later, Lightning and James were on their log, eating their food, when Pikachu joined them all and sat down on another log. Lightning smiled in amusement as he watched the fox spray the log with All-Insect-Be-Gone bug spray, but he didn’t laugh this time, so not even James noticed. “Oh, no thank you, Pikachu, I’m okay,” James replied when he offered everyone some food. Lightning, on the other hand, said, “Hmm…yeah, I’ll take some chips, if ya don’t mind. What kind do you have?” Two duo continued to eat in silence, until Pikachu spoke again a moment later, asking if they had any questions or ideas of things to discuss. “Hmm, I don’t know,” James said. “We can discuss anything, really…whatever you guys want!” Lightning raised a paw. “I got a question.” He motioned to the map that Pikachu had been looking at a moment before. “How are you certain that this map, that the treasure…

Oh, and a more important question, are we going to split the treasure equally among us all, or like, does whoever finds it first get the biggest share? Because, if that’s the case, I’ll definitely be sure to find it first!” Lightning said, rubbing his paws together and seeming to completely forget about the doubts he had expressed only moments before. “Lightning…” James said, turning and glaring at him a bit, and the cougar said quietly, “Hey, I thought you said you would leave me alone from now on!” “Well, somebody’s got to keep you in line.” ~~~ (You’re welcome, TaffyKitty! Haha, I can imagine XD I’m sure it wouldn’t go too well if Pikachu actually encountered a real tarantula…heheh, well, who knows? Maybee they will see one eventually. Violet nodded to Tall Shadow and said, “Okay, if you say so.”
She had a feeling she wasn’t really okay, but she didn’t want to pester her further. Violet dug through her food pack, pulling a mango, some beef jerky, crackers, and a still cold water bottle out for her lunch. She looked up to listen to Pikachu when he offered his food.
“No, but thanks,” she replied to him.
She peeked over at Pikachu’s map as she began eating her lunch. It certainly looked pretty old, but, as far as she could tell, the map itself didn’t give any hint as to what the treasure was. However, whatever it was, it must be somewhat valuable if it was as old as the yellowed map appeared to be. She looked up as she heard Pikachu, James, and Lightning speaking.
“Hmm.. well, Lightning,” -she returned her gaze to the map for a moment and then back to Lightning and Pikachu- “it sure looks like an authentic, old map to me, so you probably don’t need to worry about it being real. Although I do wonder what will be at the end of this treasure trail,” she reflected.

~1~ Pikachu frowned as he gazed across at the cougar. “I was excited about finding the treasure… I didn’t think about spiders, initially. But even if I did, I dunno if that would’ve helped any.” He then stiffened at Lightning’s last comment, somewhat hurt by his rude words. “Well, if I hadn’t come, I guess you wouldn’t be on this treasure hunt”, he said bluntly.
The fennec fox leaned a little closer to the husky. “Thanks, James. I guess I just thought he was a little nicer than that…”

“Heheh, that is true. If it was an actual tarantula, I’d be terrified… I really hope we don’t encounter one while we’re here!” Pikachu tilted his head, with an inquisitive look on his face. “He does?”
He listened with keen ears as the cougar ‘apologized’ to him, and (being the gullible ‘kinz that he is) he instantly accepted. “Oh, that’s alright, Lightning! I didn’t see the turtle’s face, but I wish I had. It must’ve been pretty silly-lookin’ to make ya laugh so hard!”

“Are you sure, James and Violet? I have plenty of spare!”, exclaimed Pikachu, as he held up his heavy pack….

~2~ … “If you happen to want anythin’ else, just lemme know. We have a long journey ahead of us. Oh, and sure thing, Lightning! Let’s see… I believe I have regular potato chips, a couple bags of Doritos, and a can of Pringles. Do any of those sound good to you?”
As he waited for the cougar’s response, he took a big bite out of his sandwich. Bread crumbs instantly attached themselves to the fur around his mouth. Once he swallowed, the fox jerked his head up and gazed around at his friends.
“The map? Hm, well, like Violet said, it does look pretty old… don’t ya think? I’d be shocked if this paper wasn’t at least a couple hundred years old. Oh, and we’ll all be splitting the treasure evenly. It wouldn’t be fair if the first person to find it got the biggest half! We’re in this all together, and as a result, I think everyone deserves an equal share. I wonder about that, too, Violet. Who knows what could be waitin’ for us at the end of the trail? I sure hope it’s something awesome… like gold coins! Or jewels!…

~3~ … Or a lifetime supply of cookies! They’d probably be stale by now, though.” As he began to ponder about the treasure, the bushes behind him suddenly rustled.
Startled, Pikachu jumped off the log, and stared wildly into the undergrowth.
“Wh-what was that?!”, he stammered.
Tall Shadow looked at her friend with wide eyes. “I… I have no clue. Maybe you should check it out?”, she whispered.
Pikachu gulped, and carefully tiptoed towards the exotic flora– fingers crossed that whatever was making the noise wasn’t a tarantula. The thought of seeing a giant, hairy spider already made him dizzy. Once he got close enough to the bushes, he quickly parted them with his fingers… only to find an empty patch of grass.
“Huh, whaddya know? There’s nothing-”
“-AHA! I found you guys!”
Pikachu fell backwards and let out a giant shriek. Had his worst fears been realized? Did a giant, talking tarantula manage to sneak up on him and his friends?
However, once he managed to get back on his feet, Pikachu realized that the intruder wasn’t an insect at all, but rather, a 10-year-old snow leopard… who seemed oddly familiar…

~4~ … “Moon Shadow! What are you doing here?!”, cried Tall Shadow. She scrambled off the log and gazed at her brother. A look of sheer horror made its way onto her face.
“I decided to join your treasure hunt!”
Tall Shadow furrowed her brow. “What do you mean? How did you know that we were hunting for treasure?”
Moon Shadow began to pace back and forth, his loose-fitting lime and aqua t-shirt swished slightly with every step. “Well, I was playing outside this morning and saw a bunch of people stream out of Pikachu’s house. I followed you guys to see what was going on, and I heard someone mention something about hunting for treasure in the jungle. So, I decided to come with you! Luckily, I’m pretty sneaky… I don’t think anyone noticed me ’till I jumped out!”
“You can’t do that!”, yelled Tall Shadow… he voice much louder than she anticipated. “What will Mom and Dad say?! If they find out you’re gone-”
“-Relax! I already told them that I’d be staying with you for a few days.”
Tall Shadow’s eyes grew even wider– the initial terror in the golden-brown…

~5~ … depths started to mingle with frustration. “You lied to them??”
“No! That’s not a lie. I mean, I am going to be staying with you for a few days… right?”
Tall Shadow began to rub the sides of her head, her mind whirling with thought. She clearly looked distressed.
Once she stood up straight again, Moon Shadow cleared his throat and neatly folded his hands.
“Can I come? Please? I really wanna search for the treasure… I’ve always wanted to do something like that. It’s-it’s a thing I’ve only ever dreamed of doing, ’till now.”
“Sure, you can join with us!”, piped Pikachu, before Tall had a chance to reply. “We’d love to have you in our group! Isn’t that right, everyone?”
Moon Shadow’s eyes lit up. “Really? You’ll let me stay?”
“Yep!”
“Thanks, Uncle Pikachu!”, exclaimed the cub. He bounded over to the fennec fox and gave him a big hug.
Tall Shadow stared at the two with weary eyes. She didn’t seem very happy with Pikachu’s response, however, she decided not to challenge his decision. “I guess that’s okay… but if something happens, it’s not my fault.”…

~6~ … “It’s fine. You’re letting me come with, after all. Do you really think I’d tattle on you for that?”, he replied with a laugh.
“Sometimes, I’m not too sure…”, she murmured. The leopard strolled back over to her log and sat down, eating the remains of her sandwich.
“Anyways, who are all of these people?” He gazed around at Pikachu’s friends, his head tilted in curiosity. “I don’t think I’ve ever met them before.”
“Oh, these guys are my pals! A few more were in our group earlier, but uh… they decided to leave early.”
“Cool! It’s too bad some of them left, though. I can’t imagine why anyone would wanna do that!” Moon Shadow then skipped up to one of his friends, a female signature ocelot, and smiled. She looked to be a lot older than him, however, she seemed friendly enough.
“Hey there!”, he greeted, “I’m Moon Shadow… what’s your name?”

Violet thanked Pikachu again, but again declined his chips. She felt that he might want to save some of his snacks for later if she and Lightning didn’t eat it. She nodded as he went on about the map.
“That’s good! I like it to be fair, for sure.”
She smiled when he mentioned the possibility of ancient, stale cookies. He had such a one-track mind sometimes, she thought.
Suddenly, there was a rustling behind Pikachu. Violet’s eyes widened and she stood to see where the noise came from. She watched as Pikachu slowly walked up to the bushes, and parted them to find nothing. Or so they thought. Violet gasped, when out jumped… a snow leopard. A little leopard cub?! What is he doing out here?
She stared as Tall Shadow and the cub began arguing. They know each other? “Mom and dad”? Then it dawned on her. They must be siblings! Oh poor little guy.. and poor Tall Shadow.
He walked up to her and introduced himself. She looked at Tall Shadow and shrugged with a half smile. ….

Hey, Taffy! Just wanted to say thanks for posting the Adventure Roleplay and discussion thread on here! :) Ah, I feel bad that we’re having to move it again, but I guess we don’t really have an option…I’d much rather move it than risk it not working at all, you know? (Also, I read the first part of your most recent reply! Aw, poor Pikachu, though…Lightning certainly isn’t the nicest, eh? :P ) Aw, and I remember when Dolphinlover and lava were in this…man, I really loved their characters, especially Woods! XD It’s pretty sad to think about everyone who’s left…(I remember awhile back that Fracktail, and then RosyFox, I believe, were going to join as well?) It used to be a pretty big roleplay, and now it’s just you, me, emi, and occasionally Fennec. Oh well…it’s still really fun, nevertheless, and I look forward to continuing it! :) Anyway, sorry for rambling about that, and thanks again for posting this!
