Christmas Contest Extension!
Our Christmas contest closed earlier today, but due to popular demand, we are going to reopen the contest for an additional day! Starting December 22 at midnight, everyone is welcome to enter the contest—including those who already entered! What do you have to do? Simply tell us your top ten favorite pets of all time! Enter the names of your top ten favorite pets in the fields provide for a chance to win the Christmas Prize Pack (the “Prize”), which includes both a Holiday Tubby Tummies Bear and a Changing Ice Sculpture. Winners will be randomly selected from the pool of entrants who fill out all of the fields correctly. The contest extension opens at 12:00 am EST on December 22, 2009 and ends at 11:59 pm EST on December 22, 2009. Jumbleberry Fields Is Now Live!
We had a big update this week which added some great new content, including two new games and a bunch of new items. Polarberry Jam has been very popular this week, and now you can begin to collect berries in Jumbleberry Fields, our new Daily Activity! You can read more about this new Daily Activity in our preview post, but feel free to jump into Webkinz World to play the game now, and check back into Webkinz World each day for another chance to play Jumbleberry Fields!

The Webkinz Jr. Gift Book is finally here! To see the Gift Book, just visit your playroom. Click on the Gift Book and pick the gift you’d like Santakinz to bring you. Click the checkmark when you’ve made your choice, and your letter to Santakinz will be sent. Log into Webkinz Jr. on Christmas day to open your gift! You’re sure to have a happy holiday in our neighborhood!
Coming Soon: New Zumbuddies!
There are many beautiful areas of Webkinz World, but perhaps no one place is as pretty as Zumwhere. High in the clouds, the land of Zums is a magical place to explore, and the Zumbuddies plush are some of the cutest around. That’s why we’re so excited to announce a brand new set of Zumbuddies for the new year. You can visit Zumwhere to snap pictures of Zums to gain KinzCash and special prizes. Adopt Zumbuddy from the physical plushie, and you’ll receive access to My Zumwhere with a digital version of your Zum complete with its own room and items, a bundle of Zummies to spend in the Z shop, and a Zumbuddy which follows around your Webkinz pets. Each Zum has a different personality, and as you adopt more, they will begin to interact with and befriend one another! The new set of Zumbuddies includes Zoro, a Zippy Zum; Zami, a Bratty Zum; Zype, a Tricky Zum; Zane, a Lazy Zum; Zuzu, a Giggly Zum; and Zip, a Peeking Zum. Feedback Friday: What would you like to see in Zumwhere?
Welcome to the weekly edition of Feedback Friday, a new weekly feature where we ask a question and look to our wonderful Webkinz members for answers that we will use to make Webkinz World better. This is your chance to influence the way that Webkinz World evolves! This week, our question revolves around Zumwhere. Earlier today we revealed a set of 6 new Zumbuddies that will be coming to stores in the new year. Zumwhere is one of the most beautiful areas in Webkinz World, and there’s plenty to see and do there, from snapping pictures of Zums to playing with them in their rooms like you would Webkinz. This week’s question is… What would you like to see in Zumwhere? Is there anything you would add to Zumwhere? Anything you would improve? Ideas for new Zumbuddies? Update: What’s New in Webkinz World
We’ve got a big Webkinz World update today, with a bunch of brand new features and items. Here’s some of the fresh content new to Webkinz World today: Jumbleberry Fields: Our new Daily Activity is a game of chance and strategy in which players spin a set of dice in order to collect different berries. Exchange berries for set prizes or feed them to your pets for a chance to win a rare prize! Polarberry Jam: Help Inukshuk navigate a set of mazes in the search for delicious polarberries while avoiding the mischevious Yetis in our newest addition to the Webkinz Arcade. New Items: Along with the Jumbleberry Fields and Polarberry Jam come more than 50 brand new items that players can win as rewards from the games. A host of other new items have been added, as well! Keep your eyes peeled here on Webkinz Newz and on the Kinzville Times newspaper in Webkinz World for even more details about the new content in the coming days. What do you think of this new update? January’s Birthstone Pet: Garnet Rover
Red is one of the strongest colors of the Christmas season, and we’ll be seeing more of it this coming January with the new Birthstone Pet, the Garnet Rover. Delightfully red with a gentle smile and a big heart, you’ll simply fall head over heels with this vibrant pooch! The Garnet Rover comes with a Birthstone Snowcone and a Garnet Gift Box which includes a Garnet Desk, Garnet Desk Chair, and a Garnet Poster. As with our other Birthstone pets, the Garnet Rover will be available every day on the Ganz eStore in the month of January, from the 1st until the 31st. No game of Red Rover will be complete without one!
Coming Soon: Signature Dutch Bunny
Soft to the touch and happy to hop into your arms, the Signature Dutch Bunny is as much fun to hold as it is to play with. You’ll have to mind your vegetables around this one, though, as it loves to hop about its Tulip Garden in search of carrots for some breakfast Boerenkoleslaw. Watch out for the Signature Dutch Bunny, along with the Old English Sheepdog, Tree Kangaroo, and the Beaver, in February 2010!
