If you live in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) and are the parent of a Webkinz Jr. member, we’d like to invite you to join us for a discussion about Webkinz Jr. We’ll be running one-hour focus group sessions on August 10, 11, and 12, 2009. There are some great new features in Webkinz Jr.! Now you can visit the park and play some tag with your pet, go to the Playhouse and check  out “Flora’s Flower Shop”, our brand new game, and then visit the W Shop to pick up the sailboat toy to play with in your playroom! If your  pet gets sick, there are now several different activities your child might get to play at the Clinic. You never know exactly what Dr. Paws will need help with! Finally, you’ll also notice new icons at the top of the screen when you start an activity. These icons are meant to let you, the parent, know exactly what skill your child is practicing when they play an activity. When you adjust your child’s levels through the Parent’s Area or Options feature in the site, you’ll know exactly which level to adjust to make an activity easier or more difficult. We hope you and your child enjoy these new additions!

There’s a brand new game in the Webkinz Jr. playhouse and it’s full of summertime fun! Join Hazel as she makes her way to the beach for a day of relaxation in the sun. Spin the number cube and collect shells that you can spend on special items and treats for Hazel to take with her to the beach. Practice counting the squares, and completing special challenges! We know you’re going to love this new game. Check it out today!

Webkinz Jr. is pleased to announce the addition of two new activities this week! Check out Brant’s Creative Construction in the Building Center at the Little Acorn Academy, and visit the W Shop to get a brand new block toy in the “For Your Pets” section! We know you’ll definitely love these great new activities!

There’s a brand new activity in Webkinz Jr., and it’s a TON of fun! When you visit the school, be sure to click on the art easel and then click on the paper bag puppet button. You’ll be able to make your very own paper bag puppet that you can print, put on your fridge, or simply keep in your art album. Have fun being crafty!

There are two great new activities at the Little Acorn Academy! We’ve added a terrific game to the math center that challenges your little one to add along with Inchworm. Over at the science center, Thistle Pig sure could use your help building a super-fun machine! We know you’re going to have a great time playing these new activities with your child. Have fun!

If you’re a member of Webkinz Jr., you need to check out a couple of changes we’ve made on the site! First, we’ve removed the balloon activity from the Caring Award button in the Caring Center. We are going to work on that activity and bring it back as soon as it’s ready. In the meantime, we’ve added a terrific prize wheel to the Caring Center. You can spin it once per day. We’ve also added a super new activity to the Music Center at the Little Acorn Academy, our school. This activity involves listening to musical patterns and repeating them, and is hosted by our delightful jazzy musician, Bebop. There are four levels in this activity, so you can make sure it’s just right for your child. There are going to be LOTS of new activities and games added to Webkinz Jr. in the not-too-distant future, so be sure to visit us all the time and see what’s new!

Super news for our wonderful Webkinz Jr. members! Today we upped our Kinzcoin count from 5 per day to 10 per day. We know this will make for a more enjoyable play experience. We’ve also added a new TV show called “Keep in Shape with Clover.” It’s a great way for your little one to take a break and get up and move. Finally, we’ve added a ‘feedback form’ on the homepage. If you have comments about our site, we’d be happy to hear them. We’re going to be making lots of fantastic updates in the future, so stay tuned!

Webkinz Jr. has been live for almost a week and we’re really excited about our brand new site! We’ve got lots of great stuff in store for you, and we know your kids are going to love the new games, activities, and locations we’re going to be adding in the future. Right now, we’re still working through some of the technical issues that come with launching any large-scale website. We are constantly tweaking and adjusting various components of our site, and working hard to make Webkinz Jr. a great experience for both you and your child.
