Notice: Endangered Species Contest Postponed
Due to some technical difficulties with the Endangered Species Contest, we have decided to pull the contest down. Once we fix the problems, we will be reposting the contest for all to enter. Those who have already attempted to enter the contest need not worry, though, as everyone will have the chance to enter again when the contest is relaunched. Wondering what the Endangered Species Contest is all about? We’re celebrating the release of our new Signature Endangered line with this special contest. Magical Forest Bug Fix Coming
While we’ve been working hard to update Webkinz World with new games and content, we also spend a great deal of time fixing bugs and glitches that crop up. This allows us to make sure that Webkinz World is in tip-top shape for you, our valued members. As we announced with the recent update to Webkinz World, we’ve been working hard to fix the Magical Forest Silver Key issue that causes the game to freeze. We have received reports that the issue is persisting even after the recent update, so we are working to identify the problems and fix this bug now. We apologize for any inconvenience. For more information, stay tuned to Webkinz Newz for further updates regarding this and other issues affecting Webkinz World. We’ll have more on this story as it develops. Update: As announced by the Creative Director on our official Twitter feed, this issue has now been fixed, and the Magical Forest is open again!
Notice: Pet Of The Month Loot Bag Issue Fixed
We have an update regarding the status of the Pet Of The Month loot bags for January. Following the new year, there was a issue that affected a small percentage of our members preventing the loot bag from being properly awarded when adopting the Schnauzer, January’s Pet Of The Month. The issue was fixed shortly after the reports began coming in. We are happy to report that those members who did not receive the loot bag when adopting the Schnauzer can now do so. To obtain your loot bag, log into your account, switch to the pet Schnauzer that you adopted this month, and use the “Things To Do” menu to navigate to your room. Once you enter your room, you will receive your Pet Of The Month loot bag. We apologize for any inconvenience. We’ve had a talk with the Koala was who unwilling to allow the Schnauzer to take Pet of The Month honors from it and decided to steal some of the Pet of The Month loot bags. The Koala apologizes to you all, as well. Mustache Louie is again happy-go-lucky.
Code Shop under repairs
The Code Shop is currently unavailable due to an issue that prevents codes from being redeemed. We are currently working on this issue and will reopen the Code Shop when it is fixed.
Notice: Pet Of The Month Loot Bag and Deluxe Item Issues
Happy New Year, everyone. We hope you are enjoying this first day of 2010! We have some news regarding some of the new content in Webkinz World. We have received reports from a small percentage of our members stating that the loot bags containing special items that are awarded when registering a Pet Of The Month pet have not been rewarded properly. The issue was identified, and it has now been fixed. Anyone who registers a Schnauzer from this point forward during January will receive the Pet Of The Month loot bag. For those who registered a Pet Of The Month pet but did not receive a loot bag yet, a fix will be coming on Monday of next week that will award the loot bag. According to word around the newsroom, the Koala was unwilling to allow the Schnauzer to take Pet of The Month honors from it and decided to steal some of the Pet of The Month loot bags! Mustache Louie was not pleased. Additionally, the Mountain Mine Ride, awarded to Deluxe members that have a yearly membership, is currently closed for repairs. SantaKinz Completes His Long Journey
SantaKinz has finally completed delivering Christmas gifts to everyone in Webkinz World. Even if you did not visit the site on Christmas day, you will find a Christmas gift box in your dock. Please click on “Get Items from Storage” then check your Gifts section to find your present. We thank you for your patience as these gifts were delivered. Happy Holidays!
Notice: Santakinz Slept In, Christmas Presents Delayed
Hello Webkinz members! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! We hope you are enjoying this special day. We have some news regarding the Christmas presents which will be delivered today as part of our Christmas celebration. There has been a slight delay in the process through which we deliver presents. As a result, presents have not yet been handed out. Many of us here at Ganz are working diligently right now to get this fixed, and presents should be handed out soon. In the mean time, please enjoy the other great activities going on today, and know that just by logging into the site, you’ll be entered into a contest for a chance to win the rare Sweet Tooth Tiger! Update On Presents Direct From Santakinz!
Good news, everyone! We’ve received word from Santakinz himself that his long journey across the whole of Webkinz World has begun! Unfortunately, after hurrying from his workshop to make up for time lost from oversleeping, he ran head long into a snowstorm! Though Santakinz has now begun to make his way from room to room, delivering presents to Webkinz around the world, the snow is keeping him from making his journey faster. He told us to let everyone know that he is well on his way to everyone’s rooms, but he needs time in order to complete his trip around Webkinz World safely. He said not to worry, though, as everyone will receive their gifts sometime today! We’re glad to hear that Santakinz is weathering the storm and working hard to get us all the presents! Keep enjoying yourself in Webkinz World with all our Christmas activities, and if you haven’t recieved your presents yet, don’t worry: Santakinz is on his way!
Santakinz’ Long Night Nearing Its End
With his longest working day of the year finally coming to an end, Santakinz has sent us another update on the status of his long journey. As exhausted as he is, his trek across Webkinz World continues. The snow storm which slowed him down refused to let up, and he has been delivering presents well through the night. Many members have already received their gifts, but there are still some who have not been visited yet. If you haven’t received your gift, Santakinz wants you to know that he will be personally delivering every last present, and that the wait shouldn’t be much longer. Because of the delay, Santakinz will be placing the presents right in your dock automatically, meaning you’ll find your presents waiting for you the next time you log in after he has visited your room. You may also need to retrieve your items from storage through the dock to see your present. We here at Ganz would like to apologize for this unfortunate turn of events.
