February is here, and with it has come a lovable group of new plush pets. This month, four new pets join Webkinz World: the Old English Sheepdog, the Tree Kangaroo, the Beaver, and the Signature Dutch Bunny! Could a Beaver and a Tree Kangaroo share a tree? Each week in Webkinz World, there are a variety of different Daily Activities, sales, and more that make each day special! Here are the highlights happening in Webkinz World this week starting tomorrow: Monday: Get 40 free KinzCash between 7 and 8 pm KT! Tuesday: Get a free Root Beer between 9 and 10 pm KT! Wednesday: Take the Jellybean Challenge between 7 and 8 pm KT! Thursday: Play Balloon Dartz between 10 and 11 pm KT! Friday: Dunk The Zingoz between 5 and 6 pm KT! In Room: Bubblegum Cheeky Cat
Along with the Sharp Pei and the Ferret, the Bubblegum Cheeky Cat is one of our Featured Pets for March 2010! This new take on one of our classic pets comes with a plate of Spaghetti & Gumballs and the Gumball Pit, which is pictured below: The Bubblegum Cheeky Cat is bubbly and boisterous. This fine feline is always looking for an excuse to bounce in its Gumball Pit or snack on some Spaghetti & Gumballs. The Bubblegum Cheeky Cat’s wide whiskers, pink coat, and baby blue spots make this cat a keeper!
In Room: Shar Pei
Joining the Ferret as one of our Featured Pets for March 2010 is the super Shar Pei! One of the cutest dogs this side of the Pug, the Shar Pei comes with Peking Puppy Food and the Wrinkled Paper Laterns, which are pictured below: With its droopy eyebrows, wise wrinkles, and cute curved tail, the Shar Pei is one of the most distinguished and docile dogs in all of Webkinz World. This pup is pleased by a plate of its Peking Puppy Food and a peaceful pause under its Wrinkled Paper Lanterns.
Preview: Communal Contests
Improving the community is one of our goals for Webkinz World this year, and we’ve been working diligently to reach that goal. We’ve enhanced the community aspects of Webkinz Newz, and we’ve improved the biggest social area in Webkinz World, the Kinzville Park, with some great new features to get more people meeting and chatting with one another. But we’re not done yet! We’ve been working on a brand new feature that will bring together Webkinz World members in a whole new way, and that feature is Communal Contests! This new weekly activity, which can be accessed through the Kinzville Times in Webkinz World, allows members to vote for prizes and participate in competitions every week! More details and a screenshot follow after the break.
New Zumbuddies Zoom Into Zumwhere!
There are many beautiful areas of Webkinz World, but perhaps no one place is as pretty as Zumwhere. High in the clouds, the land of Zums is a magical place to explore! The Zumbuddies plush are some of the cutest around, and you can find the brand new Series 2 Zumbuddies in stores this month! Each Zum has a different personality, and as you adopt more, they will begin to interact with and befriend one another! The new set of Zumbuddies includes Zoro, a Zippy Zum; Zami, a Bratty Zum; Zype, a Tricky Zum; Zane, a Lazy Zum; Zuzu, a Giggly Zum; and Zip, a Peeking Zum. The Small Signature and Signature Endangered pets for March 2010 may be getting a lot of attention at the moment, but there’s also a special Signature pet coming next month: the Signature Pig! The Signature Pig comes with a Homemade Apple Core Pie and the Muddy Marsh, which is pictured below: You’ll love rolling around in the mud with the Signature Pig! The Pig is the perfect porky pal, as it’s always ready to head outside to play—rain or shine—in its messy Muddy Marsh. And when you’re all tuckered out from a day of play, you can sit back and make your pig pal happy with a Homemade Apple Core Pie!

Leading the pack of our Featured Pets for March 2010 is the fun-loving Ferret. The Ferret comes with a Foot Long Feast and the Relaxing Longtub, pictured below: Standing tall with a long, lean neck and a beautiful brown coat, the curious Ferret is always on the lookout for a snack when it’s not sound asleep. You’ll often find the Ferret hiding about, but feed him a Foot Long Feast before fixing him a bath in his Relaxing Longtub, and you’ll find yourself with a friend for life!

We’ve got some exciting news! Webkinz World has officially been nominated as one of the ‘Best Virtual World sites for Kids’ at About.com! Here are the details: Reader’s Choice nominations for the 2010 Best Virtual World for Kids included worlds with monkeys, dinosaurs, pandas, historical characters, robots, penguins, dogs, bears, cats and more. Parents and kids visited in droves to share why their virtual world was the best. With nearly 40 sites in the running the competition was fierce. The top 5 in this category were selected largely based on the number of nominations received. We’re extremely proud to have been nominated, and now we need your help to win! Update: What’s New in Webkinz World
We’ve got a big Webkinz World update today, with a brand new activity and new items. Here’s some of the fresh content new to Webkinz World today: Keeping The Park Clean: The Kinzville Park is covered in trash! Some visitors haven’t been cleaning up after themselves, and now it’s up to you to clean up the park. Pick up trash to raise your “Green Score” in order to earn prizes and special rankings to show off on your MyPage! New Space Theme: Send your Webkinz pets into space in style with the spectacular Space theme, called the “Galaxy Collection.” A selection of items from this theme has been released this week! Bug Fixes: We’ve fixed a few bugs around Webkinz World, as well, including an issue with KinzChat Plus in the Kinzville Park, an issue which prevented members from purchasing the special Sale item in the KinzStyle Outlet, and an issue in which the Game Of The Day didn’t appear in the Arcade.
