Well, the size and mass of their bodies is far too great to be carried by their oddly-shaped wings. A chicken’s wings can only manage short quick flights, which help them get to low tree branches or to the tops of fences. The longest recorded chicken flight was a measly thirteen seconds. So, even though your chicken pet can’t fly, there is so much more they are capable of!
