The best day of school for me was this one day when all my teachers planned a special day for all of the kids in my grade. All we did that day was play games, watch movies, and hang out with friends. Our teachers didn’t even give us homework!!! Our teachers had some fun too! While we watched movies, they went into another classroom and just talked. Then after the movies, it was lunch time so the teachers let all of the students eat lunch in the classroom with all of our friends. Also, since it was a very hot day out, we all went outside, and everybody got to drink a nice, cold glass of lemonade. After the day ended, as soon as we left the classroom, we all got to have ice cream sundaes. We got to make them ourselves!! That day was the best school day ever! I will never forget it!! - Haley

The best day ever in school for me was going to the farm. I went to hidden valley animal adventure. My class and I got to feed a lot of animals. There were ostriches, buffalo, water buffalo, long horns, zebras, reindeer and a lot of other animals we do not have here. We got to learn about where the animals came from and the food they eat. We got to ride on a wagon pulled by a tractor. We had to be careful because the animals would take the food right out of our cups. The funniest part was when the ostrich tried to poke its head into the wagon to see everyone and try and get the food we had for the animals. - Jack

The best day at school was when I got to help out my first grade teacher with two of my friends! My friends and I helped her reorganize books, hand out papers, and take down all the old work and put up new work. It was a nice day outside so when my first grade teacher asked her class if they wanted to go outside and play kickball, she let my friends and me come too! When everyone came back inside it was time for us to leave so my friends and I packed up our things and headed for the door. But my first grade teacher stopped us in our tracks. She took out a roll of stickers and gave my friends and me each a Thank You sticker! We all smiled and gave her a BIG hug. A couple days later we received a letter in the mail from my first grade teacher! It said “thank you so much for helping me. I really appreciate Courtney! Thanks again and see you next time!” That was my best day at school ever! – Courtney

The best day of school I ever had was probably in third grade on Halloween. We had all sorts of treats set up in the hall and movies to watch in each room. I went to watch the movie “It’s the great pumpkin Charlie Brown!’ with my friends Susie, Madeline, Audrey, Morea, and Jenna. We all were wearing our pajamas like the rest of our class. Each one of us also brought one of our Webkinz with us. For me it was hard to choose because I had so many, but I chose my Lil’Kinz rabbit Fluffy. Me and my friends got some goodies from the hall and grabbed some bean bags and sat down to watch the movie. After the movie me and Susie put our costumes on for the after school haunted house for the Explorers group. Me, Susie, and our friend Sybella were in charge of the Witches’ kitchen. I was dressed up as a black cat, Sybella a witch, and Susie a unicorn. All the kids came and enjoyed the haunted house, and afterwards we played Bingo and won candy. It was the best day of school I have ever had! :) – Belle

I have had a lot of great school days, but my very best was one day in 6th grade. A good chunk of our afternoon classes had been canceled so that we could present our science projects that we had worked on for weeks, and we were very excited. My partner and best friend Alyssa had a secret; our project was on cells, and we had spent hours creating a special concoction. As our project was supposed to be made of foods, we melted jolly ranchers to create the ultimate cell wall, which we carefully mounted onto our cookie-cake cell. Our classmates were amazed, and when our teacher came to grade our masterpiece, she grinned said,”I heard your cell wall was made of jolly ranchers. Is that true?” We excitedly replied, explaining how we had spent hours on it. All the while, our friends were staring at it in awe. Needless to say, we got 100% on our project, not to mention our 15 minutes of fame! We left school feeling great, even though it was a challenge to get that thing home! - Sara
