Interview with Chef Sophia

Today’s interview will be with Chef Sophia Soufflé, Webkinz World’s foremost dessert artisan!

Ella McWoof: Chef Soufflé, thank you for joining us!

Sophia Soufflé: Please, call me Sophia.

EM: OK! Sophia, it’s commonly known that you had to work very hard to get to where you are today. Can you tell me a bit about that?

SS: You’re right, Ella. I did have to work hard. I worked all through chef school. While other kids got to go home after a hard day at school, I went to the local restaurant and waited tables and did dishes. Over time, the head chef saw how passionate I was about food, and he let me start helping out in the kitchen. Pretty soon, I was a sous-chef, which is the chef who assists the head chef.

EM: You must have been very proud to become the sous-chef at such a young age.

SS: I was. I worked hard for it, and I was proud of myself. Not as proud as my parents were, I’m sure. They told everyone they knew about what their daughter was doing. They’d come to eat at the restaurant every time they were in town.

EM: While you were in school, you met another famous Kinzville chef.

SS: Yes, I met Jeffrey Gazpacho. He and I weren’t exactly fast friends. I didn’t really like him because I felt he just got everything far too easily. He didn’t have to work while he was in school. He landed a job being a chef for Fluffington St. Bernard as soon as he graduated. He made a lot of KinzCash and opened Le Snout. It seemed so easy. I just kept struggling to save up enough to open La Soufflé.

EM: But you did.

SS: Yes, I did. And as fate would have it, I built my restaurant right down the street from Le Snout. It was about that time that Chef Gazpacho and I had to learn to get along. And we did. We’re now really close friends.

EM: Do you ever go to Le Snout to eat?

SS: All the time! And Jeffrey comes to my restaurant just as frequently!

EM: Five fast questions for you.

SS: OK, lay them on me.

EM: Favorite food?

SS: Anything chocolate. Because I specialize in desserts, I should tell you: I have a gigantic sweet tooth. If it’s chocolate, I’ll eat it.

EM: Favorite color?

SS: Purple.

EM: Favorite family member?

SS: My parents – I couldn’t choose between them. They’re both wonderful!

EM: Favorite place to vacation?

SS: South Webkinz World. I love the sun!

EM: If you had a million KinzCash, you would:

SS: Open up a chain of La Soufflé restaurants all over Webkinz World!

EM: Thanks so much, Sophia! Your story is incredibly inspiring!
