How did the Griffin become the royal symbol? Well, it happened because of a contest a long time ago in Medieval Webkinz World in the kingdom of Cleanalot. King Tidy of Cleanalot didn’t know what to do. He had to choose the new royal symbol by noon, and the palace was covered with dust because his vacuum got switched to reverse by accident! Suddenly, he got an idea. He called his two best friends, Freddy Phoenix and Gwendolen Griffin, and challenged them to a contest. All they had to do was clean the palace without using any cleaning supplies. The winner would become the royal symbol! Freddy knew he would win because he was beautiful. Gwendolen wasn’t so confident. Her wings always made her clumsy since they were so big. She sighed and looked at her wings again. They looked like a wad of feathers that looked like…GIANT FEATHER DUSTERS! Gwendolen was so happy! She used her wings and made the palace shine! King Tidy then made the Griffin the royal symbol, all because of Gwendolen.

Today is national noodle day! declared King Henry. “So everyone gets free noodles!” Noodles the griffin was sad. Now everyone would think it was him, not the food. Soon, an elephant came up and chomped down hard on Noodle’s tail. “Ouch!” shrieked Noodles. “What kind of noodle are you?” the elephant yelled as he ran to see his friends. Soon flocks of Webkinz were coming to try and taste Noodles. King Henry wondered why no one was in the town square getting free noodles when a mob came up the road to the palace. Aah, fans! Thought King Henry. They have come to compliment my fine choice in noodles. But the mob was carrying Noodles through the open palace gates and dumped him on the steps. Noodles bean to cry. The mob started squabbling with the king. Finally the king said, “Enough! In order to show my deep respect for Noodles, my new royal symbol will be the Griffin! And it shall be for generations to come!” With that, the crowd cheered. THE END!

Do you ever wonder how the Griffin became a royal symbol? This might just be how. . . A little girl Griffin was coming home from school. It was sad, (no one knows why). Suddenly a pink blob pulled it in a bush, and told her, “You are now our royal symbol!” The Griffin went home not knowing why, or what just happened. The next day she was all over cards, posters, and coins. She was treated like a queen the rest of her life. And that’s how the Griffin might have become a royal symbol.

Once upon a time, (in May 1562, to be exact), there lived a wizard. He wanted to create a new species, and he decided that it should be half bird and half animal. So he summoned 5 birds (The eagle, grey owl, phoenix, toucan and swan) and 5 animals (The lion, horse, collie, pig, and rabbit) for an obstacle course. The birds had fly through ten rings and the animals had to cross a forest full of trees. The wizard would combine the qualities of the bird and animal who won their respective races and create a new creature. The winners were the eagle and lion. The wizard took his creature, which he called a griffin to the new king (King Squimbiosis) who put a picture of the griffin on his crest, and ever since then, the griffin has been a royal symbol.

King Gregory Griffin wanted to appear more youthful and athletic for his official royal portrait. His absent minded court wizard gave the King a de-aging potion. Which, instead of helping the King look younger, made him sprout wings and a beak. “That was the wrong potion. Fix me before I turn into a bird.” squawked the King. So the wizard hurridly handed over another potion for the King to gulp down. But this one made the King grow the body and mane of a lion. “Fix me now!” roared the King. The wizard did have a potion to turn a bird into a man, and another tonic to turn a lion into a man. But he had nothing to turn a lion-bird back into a man. So the King’s portrait was painted as this bizarre creature. The painting hung for centuries in the castles museum. And to this day the Griffin is associated with royality.
