My best Valentine’s day was 3 years ago. I woke up and noticed my mom wasn’t home and I knew she wasn’t working, so I asked my dad and he said she went out to pick something up. I began to wonder what she needed to get since she went shopping yesterday. I finally said to myself that I will just see what she got when she came home. About 4 hours passed by when she finally came home. She was carrying a big box, which seemed to be making noise. She gave it to me and I placed it on the floor and opened the flaps. At first, it seemed as if nothing was in it when suddenly I felt a big wet tongue on my hand. IT WAS A PUPPY! I was so happy when I saw it because I have wanted one for as long as I could remember. After, we had all of our friends and family come over and have dinner and play games. This was one Valentine’s day I would never forget. – Morgan
My best Valentine’s Day ever was last year. My family went to Niagara Falls and my dad surprised us with room service. We had chocolate covered strawberries, cheese + crackers and cherries in a heart shaped bowl. He even had rose petals laid out all over the room. My mom was impressed. We got to have a fire in the fireplace and drink grape juice! We had a family movie night and played Webkinz on the laptop. We had a great family night and shared time together. That is what love and Valentine’s Day is all about! :) – DeAnna
My favorite Valentine’s Day was last year when we made cookies for my little brother’s kindergarten class. We had so much fun trying to get the color red for the icing to come out dark enough and we even made some pink icing, too. The most fun was adding the little red, pink, and white hearts on the top of them. Even more fun were the hearts that have words on them. We did make a mess, but we were very good and cleaned it all up with Mom’s help, of course. We made 40 cookies to take even though his class only had 20 children; we wanted to make enough for any extra people, like the Moms and Dads that might come to the party. It turns out we had plenty because lots of the moms brought stuff – we had little sandwiches, juice drinks, cupcakes, our cookies and more cookies. Mom says we should let the kids decorate their own cookies next year. What a great idea, Mom, you are super. Have a Very Happy Valentine’s Day everyone. - Beverly
My best Valentine’s Day would have to be when I was 8 years old. It was so much fun! First, when I woke up in the morning, a gigantic stuffed bear was sitting on me. I named him St. Valentine! When I went downstairs, there was a delectable breakfast of bacon and eggs. And guess what else was there! A gigantic box of Russel Stevens assorted milk chocolates. After we had eaten, we went to the park and played for hours. Then we had a delicious lunch of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Then we went home and had a 5 hour movie marathon! We all fell asleep with big valentine smiles on our faces. – Anabella
The best valentines Day ever started out on a snow-day… NO SCHOOL! Then I got up and went to the kitchen. My mom was making AMAZING heart shaped pancakes with strawberries! I didn’t have any chores that day either! Later in the afternoon, we went over to my cousin’s house and exchanged valentines. I got a giant chocolate heart! Then, I got a giant bowl of strawberries! They tasted so sweet. Later we watched a chic flick. Dinner was delicious – we had spaghetti and heart shaped meatballs! There was also raspberry ginger-ale. Mmm… My favorite! I think my favorite part, though, was when we got home that night and there was a letter for me! It was a valentine from guess who.. The boy I had a crush on! I was so happy and excited! I couldn’t wait to tell the rest of my family! That was definitely the most spectacular Valentines Day I ever had. - Natalia
