Wow! What a fantastic response to our pet design contest! We had over 3,000 entries and as always it was tricky narrowing the list down. Because it was so difficult to choose, in honor of Webkinz’ 15th anniversary this year, we decided to select 15 finalists!
Now we want to hear what you think! The winning pet will be sold in Ganz eStore starting on Webkinz Day, April 29, 2020.
As always, we look at concepts that we believe would be a great fit for Webkinz World. We are not judging the entries based on artistic talent, but on ideas that we think would make great pets. Please keep that in mind when you make your selection. Whichever pet we select, the Webkinz art department will work their magic to make it fit the Webkinz style.
While the final decision is up to the Webkinz creative department, we will take your input in consideration when making our final choice. Check out the 15 finalists and let us know in the comments below which one is YOUR favorite.

The winner will have their design turned into a real virtual pet in Webkinz World and they will receive a code for their pet when it is added to Webkinz World. They will also receive a 1 Month Deluxe Membership to Webkinz, a virtual Pet Design Trophy, and all ten finalists will each receive a 6 pack of 2020 Winterfest Cookies, courtesy of Ganz eStore.
I love the elkhound and the golden peacock. Great ideas, everyone!
As much as I love all of these I’d most like to see the elkhound be made. My family had a Norwegian Elkhound when I was growing up and she was such a wonderful dog. I’d mean a lot to be able to adopt one and name it after her! :)
So the winning design is going to be sold in estore this year, but since this is webkinz 15th anniversary, why not pick another pet to give away as pet medallions like you did last year with the kiwi? Or just make them medallion pets without the floaty clicky giveaway? The webkinz community does such a great job on these design contests I hate not seeing their designs come to fruition. *sigh* But I guess if I have to pick my favorites it would be the Moonberry Dragon and the Bubble Googles because they both represent the overall webkinz theme the best. All the entries are amazing and creative. My favorite is the elkhound. I’ve thought it would make a great Webkinz pet for years. I also like the fanciful patchwork giraffe (a nice companion to the patchwork leopard I just got) and the moonberry dragon. My congratulations and admiration to all the finalists.
The baby sloth and the cactus cat are my very favorites.
I adore the Australian Cattle Dog! They are beautiful and so unique looking. Speaking of unique, the Cactus Cat is a brilliant design! Good luck to you all!
This means so much to be a finalist! I adore pangolins and am absolutely thrilled my design was chosen! All other finalist did amazing! Congrats and good luck!

My favorites are the pangolin, tanuki, stained glass turtle, elkhound, and cactus cat.
Awesome entries! I can’t decide between the Icelandic Horse and Tanuki!!! I would be happy with either!
