Wow! What a fantastic response to our pet design contest! We had over 3,000 entries and as always it was tricky narrowing the list down. Because it was so difficult to choose, in honor of Webkinz’ 15th anniversary this year, we decided to select 15 finalists!
Now we want to hear what you think! The winning pet will be sold in Ganz eStore starting on Webkinz Day, April 29, 2020.
As always, we look at concepts that we believe would be a great fit for Webkinz World. We are not judging the entries based on artistic talent, but on ideas that we think would make great pets. Please keep that in mind when you make your selection. Whichever pet we select, the Webkinz art department will work their magic to make it fit the Webkinz style.
While the final decision is up to the Webkinz creative department, we will take your input in consideration when making our final choice. Check out the 15 finalists and let us know in the comments below which one is YOUR favorite.

The winner will have their design turned into a real virtual pet in Webkinz World and they will receive a code for their pet when it is added to Webkinz World. They will also receive a 1 Month Deluxe Membership to Webkinz, a virtual Pet Design Trophy, and all ten finalists will each receive a 6 pack of 2020 Winterfest Cookies, courtesy of Ganz eStore.
I love the Pangolin and Elkhound. With the Pangolin being a critically endangered species, I’m hoping a win for it can give it some love.
I love the cactus cat! The moonberry dragon is super cute too! I love all of them!
gotta have that tanuki or the capybara! im sad none of my red pandas made it to finals, but we tried!!! maybe next contest.
These are absolutely wonderful designs. Fantastic imaginations everyone. It’s too hard to just choose one that I like. The Golden Peacock is so cute, Greater Kudu so majestic, Icelandic Horse is just beautiful. I just love horses. Cactus Cat is so adorable. I’m certainly glad I don’t have to pick the one to win because they are all winners. :)
The tanuki has already won me over <3 if it wins since i already have a pet named Maroad on my main, I'll probably get it on my alt
My son knew about the Tanuki and had me look it up for myself. What an interesting animal and what a rich lore! LOVE IT!
These are all so cute! I would go with the Bubble Googles, Pangolin, Cotton Candy Capybara, or Cactus Cat. I love them all, though! The Greater Kudu is also a really unique pet idea!
So many wonderful pets! I really like the Cactus Cat, I love cats, and I have a shirt I love with “cat”cti on it that says Lookin’ Sharp and makes me think of that.
Goodness gracious! What a wonderful display of talent! So many different kinds of animals!! If I HAVE to pick, the Moonberry Dragon has my heart already!
(although, we did have a Norwegian Elk Hound when I was a girl!)
I had one as a adult I loved him his name was THOR.. I’m voting for the elk hound they never had one before it’s about time they did.
