In September 2023, for the first time ever, the Acorn Collection Event awarded prizes in BOTH Webkinz Classic and Webkinz Next!
If you earned prizes in the Acorn Collection Event in Classic, the same prize have been added to your dock in Webkinz Next.
We’d love to create more events that award prizes in both games but first its important that we hear from you!

Re next collection event, allow us to as 10 friends and get 5 back :) The limit per day is fine if those friends in next respond in time. Allowing us to ask more friends guarantees us the chance of getting the 5 back.
I agree. That is why I only send request to my own accounts. That way I know I will always get my requests back. I always go in several times during collections so I am sure to send all requests I get back to others.
loved this event and the prizes!
I was able to collect the items from regular webkinz. My only issue is that I get so many friend requests which I accept and happily send them the acorns that they request, but they don’t always reciprocate. How much time do you have to send the item requested. Do they understand the process? I sometimes get frustrated with this.
Hi frizzler80 – yes, that can be frustrating when you take care to answer requests for acorns every day, but the same friends don’t always reciprocate. Next time there is a collection event, which should be December’s Candy Cane Collection, advertise in the Newz story that you are looking for friends who log on every day to send and receive requests – I’ll bet you get lots of offers from many of the awesome players who read and post comments – Webkinz has a very kind and generous community. :-)
i use the acorns as a test to see who on my friend’s list is active or not tbh
they are prob playing on mobile and cant send any or prob dont want to
I also send any requests I get, but I also keep a list of who helps me & then only send my requests to them, hope this helps you next time.
I know! I keep a little note book of who ‘plays’ with me, and every year on webkinz day I go through and delete the ones who don’t. I wish they would put on your classic friends list when the last time they logged on was, so you could tell if they’re even still active, like they do on next.
frizzler80 – I used to have that issue. I solved it by building the kits which requires you to send out requests over several days. I noted who sent an item each day – which indicated to me that those were the folks who signed on everyday and who are willing to send items. Then when there is a collection event I request from 10 of those names not the people who request from me. I keep 3 accounts active (rach1794, zeusfist, and bobme248) if you want to send a friend request.
I don’t play Next, I am satisfied with Classic Webkinz. I LOVED the Acorn collection event this year. The prizes were excellent.
I feel the same way! I really liked the acorn event prizes this year. I might make a Next account someday, but I think I’m happy with Classic for now.
I don’t play Next, either. Don’t like the new pet format. I agree that this year’s Acorn Event was one of the best ever. I was surprised after hearing the camping theme, but the prizes look great indoor as well.
I really liked the prizes but I hate that you can only get 5 acorns a day. I was barely able to get the fireplace 3 times. It would be great if we could get 10 a day.
I loved it! It was so fun getting all the cool prizes in my Next account as well as Classic. I would be thrilled if all the collections were like that going forward! Please, please, PLEASE!!!!!

I absolutely loved the event and prizes. I loved that I got the prizes on Classic and Next!! I was able to complete the collection as well. It was wonderful, and I’m looking for more events that award prizes for both of my accounts!

Love collecting acorns every year. The prizes are getting better and better. I didn’t check next. I tried it for awhile. It was okay at the time. But I’m so invested in classic and don’t have time or desire to play 2 same games. Love Webkinz Classic!!
