And the winner is…

The Webkinz Newz community has chosen the Trick or Treat Street theme as the next Halloween room theme they’d like to see added to the W-Shop in October! I wanted to thank everyone who took the time to vote. Here’s another look at the Trick or Treat Street concept drawing:

Our street is big on handing out candy from the garage. Some neighbors cook chili or have munchies for the adults while the kids collect candy. The garage is decorated all Halloween. Some spooky, some more classic. This is fun for everyone of all ages. We have two neighborhoods that connect and it allows people to be more social. It’a very fun. Just wondering if a garage-type room could be incorporated…

Seems like a do-over of the freaky forest theme but in orange, but whatever.

I’d like a fall flower “bed” (literally, a bed that looks like a flower bed) and other items to add to the neighborhood. We need stuff to fill the foreground of the room, and a three-dimensional decorated house (cottage) or two would be perfect. I’m so glad this theme won, I think it’s going to be really fun. And we can use so many items from past Halloweens with this…

Oh this was my least favorite. Not to be rude, but this one seems more like plain fall than ultimate spooky Halloween, which I was really hoping for.

Crows , spooky pumpkins, lanterns , outdoor tiles , halloween trees, and some of the building kit style cottages to go with this theme I would also love to see a realistic type of wall maybe something like a realistic evening , or plain with a moon/moonlight Ive been having a hard time making rooms because we lack a basic floor / wall that we can expand on something like a full plain grass floor would be wonderful

I think when you click on a house, its animated. One house clicked on can have a ghost popping out and there should be a haunted house where your pet can sit in!

I think a tree with a raven or crow sitting in it that when clicked on the raven/crow flaps its wings and calls to another crow/raven would be an halloween idea but could also be used for other themes. I also think an doormat that when rotated says different things like “Happy halloween, welcome, trick or treat, or boo!” would be an fun halloween idem. I think a jack o lantern that when rotated changes its face/design and when clicked on would light up would be a fun outdoor light. These are all my ideas. I loved seeing everyone else fun ideas for the room theme :)

I think that a moving vehicle shaped like a broom would be a fun addition to the theam and to a Halloween costume. A candy dispenser that gives out brightly coloured candys to trick or treaters would be fun as well.

Thank you for announcing the good news! I would like there to be a costume shop store front, where all the locals pick up their ‘scare wear’. It would probably be nice to have a few homes with decorated porches and windows, with a porch light that turns on and a bowl of candy. Maybe you could even design a school or community center which is hosting a big Halloween party – front door open, and light spilling out onto the steps, hinting at the fun inside. The party can even spill out onto the lawn in front where the kids can line up to bob for apples, break a jack-o-lantern pinata hanging from a tree (which would make an awesome candy dispenser!) and be judged in a costume contest/parade. Think small town, big Halloween family fun! I hope that you have as much fun designing it as I have dreaming about it!

Some kind of tiles, please. Side walk tiles. Red brick tiles. Something that says both autumn and trick or treat street. A scarecrow guard would be cool. Something animated to “scare” our pets. In our neighborhood, we love the element of surprise at Halloween. You never know what thrills you’ll get when you ring that doorbell to yell “trick or treat.”

ya, you could do tiles with candy on them!

It’d be cool too, if there were animated houses the pets could go to that wouldn’t *always* scare or treat – it’d be neat if they each had a chance to play one animation or the other so you’d never really know what your pets are gonna get :P
