This adventure has reached new heights, my friends! My latest stop is Kathmandu where I met Sabina! Sabina is an expert Sherpa who offered to help guide me up the mountain trails. Here we are enjoying an amazing view!
Not only does Sabina have an encyclopedic knowledge of the mountain ranges surrounding Kathmandu, she also gave me a tour of the markets, offering invaluable advice on some of the goods available. I’ve picked up some local spices – did I mention that Sabina is also an amazing cook? – as well as a few pieces of stunning silver jewelry. You know I can’t resist adding to my collection of treasures for the Curio Shop!
There’s incredible workmanship to be found in the stalls of these bustling bazaars. I like to check out the shops for beautifully crafted ethnic clothing in every locale I visit and Sabina knows where to find some stunning pieces. I even picked myself up a stylish pashmina!
While I’ll be sad to say farewell to Sabina, I can’t wait to carry on with my adventure! Even if it seems like I might’ve reached the PEAK of adventure with this stop, don’t worry – it’s all uphill from here!

Sabina is beautiful!!! I really hope we can see more of the friends Arte has been making! I’d love to see more of Sabina, especially if we could see what she wears when not on the mountain!
It would be great if some of the ethnic clothing or a least the pashmina could become available in the Kinzstyle shop!
Wow Mayor Arte! I didn’t know that you were in Nepal! Is your new pashmina cashmere? I hope that you got a good deal. With your clue of “all uphill from here”, my guess is that you are heading for Everest next? If so, I hope that you’ve been training, and I hope that the weather stays nice. Safe travels!
For the record, Mayor Arte, you know that we are keeping track, right? We are going to be expecting to see a lot of this stuff from your travels popping up in the Curio Shop. But if you see the abominable snow monster in the Himalayas, please don’t bring back any yellow snow cones, just in case.
