Plush are generally not available for purchase for points. Newer pets are generally not offered for purchase as virtual pets.
I totally agree with your comment about buying them in stores. I used to get a sneak peek from my retailer about which webbies were coming and would order a few of each, but then once they came in and I could see them in real life and touch them and hold them… I usually ended up buying a few more of each. Some items I even bought cases of!! Now if I want to find a webkinz I have to drive 20 miles or more to the next city over…. and then you get what you get. One retailer told me she can’t order specific pets, they just send her a box of random pets and you get what you get. Webkinz’s heyday was back in 2006 – 2008. That’s when you attracted and hooked all of your adult players, as well as your youth players. Great memories, too bad that’s all we have …. memories.
I agree! I bought the German Shepard last month but was really excited to see Reindeer activities because I’ve had my reindeer for years! what a treat :)
I think ganz makes the pet of the month a newer pet so it gives those who may have collected all the older style pets a chance to collect this new pet and adopt them for the bonus pet of the month gift box. There would be less excitement if the pet of the month was one everyone had, because then no one could obtain the pet of the month items
