It’s that time again when we ask our talented players to submit their pet designs, and this year’s contest is doubly exciting! That’s because for the first time ever we’re asking you to submit your ideas for a pet that will be created in Webkinz Classic AND in Webkinz Next!
The winning pet will be available to purchase at Ganz eStore and the Classic WShop (Classic version) and in the Next Adoption Center (Next version) starting on Webkinz Day, April 29, 2024!
Pet submissions must fit into one of the following categories:
- four legged pets, like a dog or a cat
- knucklewalking pets, like an ape
- hopping pets, like a bunny or a frog
Bird and fish submissions will not be selected.
The winning designer will receive two virtual pets based on their design, one in Classic and one in Next. They will also receive a Pet Design Trophy. Ten finalists will each receive a virtual Webkinz Next Best Of Mystery Capsule, and a virtual Webkinz Classic Buttercup ?? Box.
Here’s how it works:
Between January 10 and 31, 2023 design a four-legged, knuckle-walking or hopping pet that you think would make a great addition to Webkinz Classic & Next!
You can use any kind of art supplies that you want – markers, pencil crayons, crayons, or other art materials. While we will not accept images that have computer generated patterns or graphics copied and added to them, participants may use programs like Paint or Photoshop to color and draw freehand. We can’t accept submissions with company logos or sports team emblems. Please make sure you save your images as a jpg, gif, or png.
You don’t need to include a suggestion for the pet’s PSI and PSF but you can if you want!
Submit your drawing to the Classic and Next Pet Gallery in the Share Center by January 31, 2024.
Then wait to see if your design is one of the 10 finalists.
Please note that while the Webkinz Next artists will use the winning design as inspiration for a new pet, the design may need to be adapted in order to work as a 3d pet.
We can’t wait to see your submissions for a new pet in our first ever Next (and Classic) pet design contest! Good luck!
Can I make a fourlegged google who walks like a normal fourlegged animal?
I mean, you could, but we did say no birds.
Sally googles are platypus not birds lol!
Nope! No tail. Not a platypus. It’s based on the original Googles duck that was released by Ganz in an earlier plush line.
Sorry!!! I did not realize that googles were birds!
Wow, I’ve been playing webkinz for most of my life and I’m still learning new lore!
In no world is a googles a bird.
How funny that they’re birds because the Pet of the Month video calls them a platypus! XD Sally is the CEO of Webkinz lore though LOL
Are Koala designs allowed for submission?
im super excited to participate in this!
how many submissions are allowed?
There are no limits
Hi sally, every time I try submitting my photo of a pet it won’t let me, it doesn’t come up and I don’t know why but I wanted to show my waffle cat but it won’t let me :(
Also I don’t have any email address so I am not able to contact Webkinzsupport@ I don’t know what to do.
The image might be too large. Try making it smaller
Oh ok thanks sally!
Yay it sent! Thank you sally!
are dragons allowed?
As long as it walks on all fours and doesn’t fly :)
Omg I’m totally doing a tortoiseshell cat ❤️❤️
No penguin either :(
can i enter? :D
No googles :(
I feel the pain.
hmmm, maybe one with four legs, not accurate but hey it’s virtual pets, they can change how it walks for next
No birbs, unfortunately. We aren’t adding a new skeleton for this pet, which is why it’s restricted to the types that already exist on Next.
Birbs lol
Will birds or fish be added to Webkinz Next in the future?
Maybe!
Now there are 5,5 hours since I started trying to connect to Next, even unstalling and reinstalling the app. All I get is Lost connection with server. Reconnecting…, again and again. Is ANYONE going to answer to my message?!
Must be magic in the air! As soon as I wrote, it opened!!!
