We are excited to announce a new pet design contest! We would like you to design a new pet that will be sold by Ganz eStore starting on Webkinz Day – April 29, 2026!
Here’s how it works:
Between January 1 and 31, design a pet that you think would make a great addition to Webkinz Classic! It can be any kind of pet you like! You can use one of the templates provided below or you can create your own drawing. You can enter as many times as you like!
You can draw your pet using any kind of art supplies that you want – markers, pencil crayons, crayons, or other art materials. While we will not accept images that have computer generated patterns or graphics copied and added to them, participants may use programs like Paint or Photoshop to color and draw freehand. We can’t accept submissions with company logos or sports team emblems. Please make sure you save your images as a jpg, gif, or png.
You don’t need to include a suggestion for the pet’s PSI and PSF but you can if you want!
Submit your drawing to the 2026 Pet Design Gallery in the Share Center by January 31, 2026. In February find out if your design is one of the 10 finalists.
The winner will have their design turned into a real virtual pet in Webkinz World and they will receive a code for their pet when it is added to Webkinz World. They will also receive a a virtual Pet Design Trophy, and all ten finalists will each receive a 6 pack of 2026 Winterfest Cookies, courtesy of Ganz eStore.

Im so excited ^^ I entered for the first time! Mine is the Webkinz Polar Wolf!
Are things like shape tools/the pen tool in Photoshop allowed (for example, to make the head perfectly round) or do digital drawings need to be done entirely freehand with a stylus?
Pets and clothing in Webkinz are vector art, so tools that help with shaping is fine.
Are we able to submit 20 years pets? From the other pet contest?
You can submit pet designs you’ve submitted before, but this is aimed at more generic pets rather than something specific to the anniversary.

I entered a Rainbow dragon that i created. I really hope it wins. I’ve never won a webkinz contest like this. I’ve entered my rainbow dragon in every design pet contest i entered. It would be great to win even if it’s just one time. also those who haven’t won yet should win
Can we suggest a pet? I can’t manage to do it myself. I’d like to see someone make a capybara. It’s something we don’t already have.

There’s a capybara releasing in Classic, Next, and plush in just a few weeks.
I believe they released the capybara a few years ago. It may still be available at the W Shop.

It’s good to see that computer generated patterns are not allowed for these contests. I would never ever buy a pet that was generated by AI, it ruins the pet entirely. The thing that makes these pets so special is the creativity behind them! The 20-Year Tiger was such a good pet not only because of how adorable it is, but because it was really fun to see how much love and excitement the artist had for it.
Does the pet need to be Webkinz themed (like the twenty year tiger) since it is for Webkinz day? It would be sad for a submission to be ignored because it isn’t on theme
It doesn’t need to be a specific theme. The Twenty Year Tiger was just because it was a big milestone for the game, they did the same thing with their 10 year milestone as well. As long as it’s a pet and follows the contest rules of what is and is not allowed, you’ll be all good :)
Please update the Deluxe theme for the Deluxe Monthly Gift Box. I was disappointed to see the Farm Fresh Theme still being given out after 2 full years, just to collect in the dock.
I’d love to participate in contests like these but as a European Webkinz fan, I can never. It’s such a shame. Please extend who can participate! I don’t need to join contests where the prize is a physical plush – it would be expensive to send here I understand, but online prizes should pose no issue!
Unfortunetly, the USA’s laws on contests, raffles, giveaways, etc, are strict and complex, and likely differ form laws in Europe. Expanding contests like this outside the US would require a specialized set of terms and rules per country. It’s simply not worth the legal risk from Ganz’s perspective. -Not that I know for sure as I do not speak for Ganz-
Ganz is a Canadian company so it would have to follow the laws of Canada, not the US. That being said, I have no idea what they are.
I have the same problem, and I am sad.
