Summer is just around the corner and many of you may be thinking about creating the perfect outdoor space for your pets to play. We asked Hailey and Elwin if they had any tips on how to create a natural looking garden and this is what they had to say:
ELWIN: If you add more than one of the same type of tree to your garden, try rotating each one in a different direction so they don’t look identical.
HAILEY: That is a great tip to making a natural looking garden! For example, look at the first image of the three trees below. The trees look identical in the first image, but in the second image they have been rotated in different directions making them look like 3 different trees! You really notice the difference when you look at their trunks.
ELWIN: The same trick applies to the Flagstone Path Tiles. Look at them lined up together facing the same direction. Now compare them to the second picture where each tile has been randomly rotated.
HAILEY: It’s amazing how much more natural they look when they are not all facing the same direction!
ELWIN: Here’s a tip on how to make a natural looking pumpkin patch. Instead of lining up the Giant Pumpkin Patch pumpkins facing the same direction, try randomly rotating them too!
HAILEY: You can even mix in a few regular Pumpkin Patch pumpkins to make it look like the pumpkins are in various stages of growth. Both types of Pumpkin Patch pumpkins are available in the Decorations category of the WShop (under “outdoors”)
Thanks Hailey and Elwin! Remember, to rotate an item, click on it while you are in EDIT mode in your pet’s room then use the arrow buttons to rotate your item. Click OK when you are done and you item will be placed back in your room.

Oooh I like that! :D Good idea! ~Ocean
love love love it :)
I like to use a lot of flowers in my garden. :)
Me too! :D I like the last tip best. ~Ocean
YEAH and rotating also helps make flowers look better
this is good info. I’m working on my my garden myself actually
If you want a secluded garden look try the crystal falls with the sand paths around it. also use palm trees
i especially love the cherry trees and the weeping willow with the lavendar flowers (i can’t think of it’s name right now). so i’ve mixed different elements with them and use a fountain or pond for a focal point in my design. ;) :D
Me, too! And it’s the wisteria tree you’re thinking about. Sometimes for a garden, I like to take one really cool big piece and put it in the center so it gets the most attention. Then I put some other cool smaller pieces and little details here and there.
I do the same thing :)
green smily? sure! : + mrgreen + : = DON’T DO ANY CAPS OR IT WONT WORK    just do lowercase      hope i helped! >~pop~<
Hmmm Let me see if it works for me! And can you tell me how to do the blushing smiley? I like that one.
Oh cool it wurks. lol works
I think the blushing one is : + oops + :  . I’m not sure about the laughing one. I’ve already done things with turning things around in my yards so they look different, but still a good tip!
