Having been on classic since the beginning, I used to feel that way. But I tried it and I enjoy it now! That being said I suppose you could start a linked account and if you don’t care for it, only use it for linked items so you don’t miss out :)

I like Webkinz Next but I just can’t manage more play time! Lol

I think it would be great if a code is given for Webkinz Classic as well because not everyone is on Webkinz Next.

It’s not hard to set up a next account. You can go to the login page for that if you use your username and password from your classic, it will walk you through setting up the next account picking out a free pet giving you a house to start with I really enjoy playing with next. I think you should give it a try :-)

Regardless of being free, it still requires extra time and effort to have to manage an extra game account. It’s just a nuisance to someone who doesn’t want to play that game. People who have played and enjoyed classic for nearly 20 years shouldn’t keep being pushed into playing a game they don’t have interest in, simply to have a complete set of items on the game they do play.

Next is free if you want it to be. Just like Classic.

I hope you give us a code for Webkinz Classic that way it is fair for everyone to get this item.

  8. wingsfan65 says:

We did it! I spent 500 KC to send a copy of the item to my Classic account and keep the original in my Next account.

I wish since we are collecting this theme on Webkinz Classic that we would be given a code for the Classic account. Not everyone has both accounts.

I wish I could have gotten one but I don’t have a next account. Everything I look at about Next just looks complicated and a lot of work and money. I’m happy for all of you who got this cool retro piece.

I don’t pay for Next-I barely play it, mostly only to send things since that was added.

    • Allajuicea says:

You can create a Next account and get it!

    • frog601 says:

you can get a free next account–just use your classic login. spending optional.

I feel the same way. I wish some of these items had their own seperate code for Webkinz Classic as well. I don’t like the animation style on Webkinz Next so I’ve stuck to Classic. I get the appeal of only having an exclusive Next code though, it’s a great marketing tactic.

Next doesn’t cost any money and is not complicated @granma4. You can use the same login ID as Webkinz Classic or create a new account in Next. You don’t have to buy any pets or spend money – unless you want to. Give it a try

    • spotsofbeauty says:

You can have a next account for free. You do not have to have any “upgrades” to receive your prizes. You can also link the accounts free.

    • wingsfan65 says:

@granma4– It’s easy to use Next (and it’s free). It doesn’t cost anything to sign up so give it a try :)

      NO IT’S SOOOO FUN!\

I wish I could send you one Granma4. To be perfectly honest Next is a lot of work and real money. It is $12 to purchase a virtual pet and $8 every time you “spark” them. The “seasons” are around $7 and that is every 6 weeks. Many of the room themes and a couple of the properties to create houses cost diamonds which are actually real money. Some of those themes end up being $50 to $75 to collect the whole theme. Now they have increased the difficulty of earning virtual money by capping the farming. The arcade in Next limits how many times you can play a game each day. Some of the games award around $25 kinzcash per game. An item in W shop that is actually virtual money can be as high as 2250 kinz cash. Think about the time required to earn enough kinzcash for those themes. They don’t offer employment office or wishing well and punish players who have figured out how to earn kinzcash without spending 2-3 hours in the game each day. I can maintain my classic account and keep up with the current events by spending 20-30 minutes in the game each day. That is healthy for me and for children. Next is becoming continually more frustrating to me.

      • frog600 says:

well, you don’t have to get THAT into it…

      • Eilish says:

Actually, “seasons” are free. You don’t HAVE to upgrade in order to participate.

      • 4blueboo says:

I can understand your concern about the time Next takes @persian, but there is no money commitment required other than if you want the extended Seasons. You can earn diamonds through login and season prizes (and sometimes on the Wheel of Wow??) you don’t have to buy them to spark pets or to buy pets. Also, you can get more games tokens by buying them in the Arcade using your tickets – 10 tickets per token. Plus, do the games that make more money, like Jumbleberry Blast or Tile Towers. Sell veggies to the Farmers Market or W Shop and sell duplicate things to the W Shop, like a lot of the Floating W prizes. A lot of the time I just login to complete the daily season items.

    • strawberrycream12 says:

It can be a lot of work and money to not miss out on fun, pretty items. A lot of the season prizes cost real money, and the pets are expensive. You can get your first pet free though. kinzcash is difficult to make because they cap the arcade games at 3 plays for free and 6 plays for accounts you buy a pet. There isn’t a great way to make kinzcash, but all of the clothes and items are so expensive. I think it has a lot of fun elements, a lot of expensive elements, and some frustrating elements. Overall though, I typically enjoy it, and I would give it a try if I were you. At very least, when they connect the classic challenges to Next or put codes on Next, those are free and easy to do. You don’t have to do any work for those. You could just make an account solely for supplying your Classic account and decide if you want to play next later:)
