Dorothy Lou’s Spring-Tastic Activities

Some tips for the Spring Picnic Season!

In addition to some tips for starting your Spring Picnic Season, this guide includes additional Webkinz Next spring themed activities to help us settle into our newest big feature.

Season’s Tasks

To access your Season, click the Season’s icon, select the “Earning Points” tab at the top of the screen.

Remember, access to Seasons is free. Anyone can play!

Complete daily and weekly tasks to earn Seasons Points. Click the “Seasons Progress” tab to review your Seasons Points and claim any prizes you’ve earned. In one day, I earned 50 KinzCash and a material box!

I know some of the weekly tasks look difficult. Try thinking of the harder tasks as challenges and opportunities to practice getting high scores. I played Wacky Zingoz over and over again to achieve the 10,000 point goal. I actually got much better at the game!

Wacky Tip: Aim for the middle of Wacky’s body as opposed to his bottom.

Visit the Baby Park

If you’re on your way to Kinzville to collect invitations for your weekly task, why not bring your baby? Tip: Taking your baby to the baby park earns you a bonus growth!

Customize My Spring Avatar

The custom avatar is so much fun! Of course, for a springtastic avatar I had to choose the sun and this orange dots background I won from Seasons.

Spring-toned Babies

Need a break from your Season’s tasks? Check out the latest spring-toned babies in the baby showcase!

Open a Spring Bloom Mystery Capsule

End the day with a beautiful reward. The Spring Bloom Theme is calming and bright. It’s only available from Mystery Capsules which can either be purchased in the W Shop or won as part of the Seasons track.

I hope you have fun exploring the new Seasons Picnic! New features can be a little overwhelming. Feel free to leave questions in the comments or join on Wednesdays from 3-4 PM in Kinzville for a chance to ask us questions live.

is there a way to turn off the pop up messages? They are annoying and distracting,

In week 2 of Spring Seasons, I am finding it difficult to get over 100 in Cake It Up. I find myself getting so close and I start holding my breath. (It’s lucky I haven’t passed out yet!) I am trying to be persistent and not get discouraged. I know that it can be done (I did it on one account). Persistence and Dorothy Lou’s amazing game tips helped me accomplish the impossible and score 10,000+ in Wacky Zingoz so anything is possible.

Do I have the ability to turn off the Adoption showcase and Arcade announcements appearing on the screen?

I’m enjoying the activities for the most part. My problem is that ever since this update the game has been slow for me. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but it hasn’t helped. Nothing else on my computer is a problem.

in the season picnic I can’t claim number 6 it is blank and I am up to number 10 which is weird because 8 and 10 were blank to but they let me collect the prize

This is fun, but no matter what I do, I can’t get my pets heart meter to fill up. This is fun. I like the little challenges.

Yes, I have the same problem if I have a day where I don’t have much computer time. I don’t have time to just sit and wait around for pet requests. I made a suggestion in another post that they should allow all daily care activities – feeding, grooming, exercising, playing, etc. – to count for filling the heart meter, just like they do on Classic. That would really help a lot of us who are struggling with never full care hearts.

Dorothy Lou, thank you for your always enthusiastic, sunny, informative articles. I appreciate all of the helpful advice, particularly the tips about Wacky Zingoz which actually were the only reason that I was able to complete that part of the challenge! (I used to just get a lot of zeros! LOL!) Thanks for being a great Next cheerleader!

Thanks for the tips, Sally! I was worried about getting the weekly tasks accomplished in time so this is a relief. I will be voting for Sally for mayor again! We tried and were bummed when she wasn’t. A shorter school week is so much better than a lollipop! I would like doc to hang around in his clinic, but he shouldn’t be mayor IMO. ;-)

OOh there is that little pink Moon Bear again. So sweet, love the other 2 babies too.

Do the weekly tasks expire at the end of the week? If not, can you start on the second week’s tasks if you haven’t completed all from the first week?

    Thanks for the tips!
