Ella on the Street: A Special Report from the Kinzville Park!

Hello again Webkinz Newz readers! It’s Ella McWoof, Kinzville’s resident blogger and I’m here with another special report! Daisy Doe has announced that she has set up a small snack cart in the Kinzville Park and will be handing out smoothies until Oct 4th. Is this a kind gesture on her part OR is she sending a message to Mr. Moo: Get healthy or moove out!

For nearly 5 years, Mr. Moo has been running a successful (and sweet) ice cream business in the Kinzville Park, providing mouth watering treats to hungry Webkinz. Now that Daisy has set up her own snack cart offering a healthier alternative to ice cream, could Mr. Moo’s business suffer, or even worse… be forced to shut down? I headed to the park to find some answers…

ELLA: Mr. Moo… What are your thoughts on Daisy Doe?

MR. MOO: I was quite insulted by her to be honest! She posted an official letter on Webkinz Newz stating that I “profit by providing unhealthy snacks to the citizens of Kinzville”. That suggests that I am not concerned with the well being of Webkinz which is untrue.

ELLA: She’s giving away free Sweet Soy Smoothies here in the Kinzville Park until October 4th. Has your business suffered because of this?

MR. MOO: Not at all! My ice cream is famous in Kinzville. It will take more than an ambitious deer to put me out of business… if that’s her intention.

ELLA: So just to confirm… you’re not closing shop anytime soon?

MR. MOO: Of course not! I am fine with healthier food options to choose from but let it be a CHOICE. Telling others what they SHOULD be eating is unfair.

ELLA: So I take it you are not a fan of Daisy Doe?

MR. MOO: You know, when she first arrived in town I was intrigued. But now I’m having second thoughts. Do you see how close her snack cart is to mine? It’s almost like she is TRYING to block Webkinz from accessing my cart. That’s not right.

I wanted to talk with Daisy Doe to see what she had to say so I headed over to her cart for a Sweet Soy Smoothie.

ELLA: This is delicious Daisy! You’ve proven to be quite the chef!

DAISY: Thanks Ella! I am happy that I have been able to prove that eating healthy can be delicious!

ELLA: Your Veggie Fest seemed to be quite successful. Congratulations! Does this mean that you’ll be opening your restaurant soon?

DAISY: There’s a lot of planning that must go into opening a restaurant. It doesn’t happen overnight. I felt the need to keep the idea of healthy eating at the forefront of everyone’s minds so that’s why I opened my cart in the park. This is a much faster way to provide healthy treats to the citizens of Kinzville.

ELLA: Mr. Moo has been selling ice cream in the park for quite some time. Are you concerned that his business may suffer by offering an alternative to his ice cream?

DAISY: My biggest concern at the moment is promoting the importance of a healthy life style. Foods that are high in sugar and fat seem to be popular at the moment.  I want to change that.

ELLA: Why do you think they are popular?

DAISY: Unhealthy foods are cheap and quick to make. At the end of the day it’s just easier to throw a frozen dinner in the microwave or stop at a fast food restaurant then it is to prepare a nutritious meal. It’s an overwhelming problem that is just getting worse.

ELLA: Do you think you can change this on your own?

DAISY: I am going to try. Kinzville needs a leader in a revolution against unhealthy foods and I hope to be the one that can change our habits for the better!

Have you visited Daisy in the park? Do you think that she’s trying to compete with Mr. Moo or is she really trying to spread the word about healthy eating? Do you think she would be a good leader for the “revolution against unhealthy foods”? Please leave your comments below…

I lean more towards being a junkivore myself, but try to eat whole wheat pasta and lots of grains, so I’m hoping to see them come to a compromise. Gelato is better for you than ice cream, and so is frozen Greek yogurt, both are rich and flavorful. I’m sure you could make them healthier by using real fruit and other natural flavors, like sweet potato or pumpkin.

Daisy Doe should not have parked her cart in front of Mr. Moo, how rude!!!

Just a thought . . . perhaps this just shows how much Daisy Doe cares about every kinz. She knows that eating healthy has many benefits for our well being. It may seem like she’s trying to force it upon us but maybe she’s just genuinely concerned about all of us and wants us to have good immune systems now that it’ll be flu season soon :)

I think Daisy is being a little mean. She’s always trying to get everyone to eat healthy and I don’t get why it’s SO important to eat healthy things!

Daisy Doe, you have GOT to start reading Webkinz Newz! People liked you before you started badmouthing the other hosts! At first, Mr Moo actually liked you, but now, he doesn’t think you are very nice. Remember, treat others how you want to be treated. :)

Ice-cream can be healthy, too! Well done, Mr Moo, for standing up for yourself!

I think that Daisy Doe is just trying to do what is best and that Mr. moo should not leave because I like Mr. moo and his ice cream

I think Daisy Doe is standing up for what she believes and making a good push for healthy eating. I also think that she is not trying to move Mr. Moo out she is just trying to suggest healthier eating habits, and I think that Mr. Moo should still sell ice cream.

I KNEW IT! There’s going to be a storyline to this, isn’t there?! I’m so excited to find out what happens next! For those who didn’t see all my other posts, basically what I thought would happen is that “Veggie Fest” would be extended to delve into other things, like Daisy’s poor treatment of her competitors and how eating ice cream sometimes doesn’t make you a monster (two topics that Mr. Moo touches upon here). Does anyone remember when Amanda Panda was introduced? She had a cute little backstory on the Kinzville Times that had a moral attached to it. I think that’s where GANZ is going with this, but the story takes place in the present instead of the past, and this time everyone can see it instead of just followers of the Times. So for everyone who’s taking this seriously and/or angry about these new developments, I encourage you to look at it in a more positive light! I have a feeling the conflicts will be resolved in the end. :)
