Happy solstice everyone! I can’t believe Christmas is almost here. I’m so looking forward to getting my Christmas gift, and I’ve been visiting Ms. Birdy every day!
You know what else I’ve been loving this December? Collecting candy canes! I’ve been sending out candy cane requests every day and I’ve already finished my collection once — I’m working on my second now! I thought it would be a good idea to design another Christmas room, but this one would feature the candy cane collection prizes!

Ella, this is a beautiful room. The livingroom is so cozy and inviting and who wouldn’t want to wake up christmas morning in that bedroom!? I see the cookies are set out for Santa and, personally, I love the choice of kitchen appliances. It was the first thing I noticed, it really defined the kitchen and made it stand out. Be careful with all those yummy looking treats you have on the counters. I’d be covering them up before Sally spots them! Great job!

We are most certainly going to have fun with the beautiful blue of this years collection. Ella, I really like the way that you used the striped dressers as a divider. I think the only thing that I would change in this room is the choice of stove and fridge. Right now I think that I would go with the basic white stove and fridge. I often use the ones from the Sky theme with blue rooms but I’m thinking that it might be too light for these items. I do like the tile floor though. The large fireplace is a nice touch. My grandparents had one similar to that between their bedroom and the large living room. I love the use of the plush rugs as well. Nice touch. I would have used the White Shag ones, but these work really well. Makes it a little more homey rather than formal which works well with the new items. I’m wondering how the white wood table would work with this? It’s amazing how popular this wallpaper is with so many themes!!! I haven’t had the time to do too much with the new items yet, but I will hopefully have some down time after Christmas to play with the new things that we have gotten. I have had fun using the new items that we have gotten from Miss Birdy in the countdown. My reindeer (Metzen) has the new ‘cookie jar’ as it looks like a plush toy. Shasta is getting the new pajamas and the new treats have been put in storage.
