As an adult, I find playing Webkinz to be a really fun stress reliever. I recently gave a Rockerz Zebra to my granddaughter as part of her High School Graduation gift and my older sister a Rockerz Cow for her birthday. I told them both that I play to relieve stress and not have to be worried about unwanted adult questionable pop-ups. I also told them that if they did not want to play on-line to please consider donating the Webkinz to a charity such as Toys-For-Tots.

It is nice to hear I am not the only one who plays for stress relief. My family members give me a hard time for playing. I am on every day! It relaxes me and lets me have fun. After I adopt the pets I donate the stuffed animals to our local police department.

STRESS reliver yes !! Lost my husband after a lot of hard times. I have come here to escape . I worked as anurse aid 20 years lifting. Games for the most part are not too hard to play with my hands arthritis from lifting. Here also keeps my mind sharp. I play with family here and also donate but to volunteer fire dept . Fires all sorts of bad thing happen and kids just need something to hold on to a soft hug from us and Webkinz you can say to ease hard times ;)

I agree. Challenging enough to be fun and easy enough to relax. I get a ton of teasing for being addicted to Webkinz, but I really do enjoy it. As a bonus I get to play with the grandchildren when they have the time in their busy schedules.

I started with 1 gandson and now 104 pets later I still enjoy but I am so missing the Moonberry tub :( . Hang in there there could be a worse habbit at least we are at home ;) .

Oh, blob. There’s nothing I can do about this but it sounds fantastic either way. I’m gonna be homeschooled, so this wouldn’t work anyhow.

    What a cool idea!!!

    thnx

  5. ilovemoonie says:

Cool! I’m homeschooled, so it doesn’t really effect me, but it’s still pretty cool! ;)

    • tinygma says:

Excuse me I am older but don’t homeschooled parents have a network where they connect ? Maybe this is something to ask parents about . It could connect homeschool kids in a positive stress reliving way and still give you many new friends in YOUR area ;) . gl

I think I speak for everyone when I ask for Pet Info Editing. Like changing the name, or changing the gender. When I was younger, I did not know how to spell worth a lick, and even now I accidentily click the wrong gender without realizing it. I was super young, so I spelt Louis like Luwy. Please, Please, Please, Ganz, consider this!

I have a pink pony named Leonard. That was before they’d tell you what a mystery pet (won from the trading cards) was. You’d have to pick a name and a gender, so I chose Leonard and made it a boy. Imagine my surprise when a pink pony popped up! :D

    • mintfudge says:

I accidently named two Webkinz Peanut! So I agree!

    • resolution22 says:

I agree a5t! I really wish we could change our pets’ names. I have two webkinz with the same name because I forgot that I had already used the name. I also have a few pets with names that aren’t capitalized because I was young when I started my account and didn’t know to capitalize them. I would love if we could change the names! That would be so awesome!

    • FoxesRule612 says:

You know what I think the coolest idea ever would be? Having the capability of changing around your pet’s bio. Of course, since this IS a kid’s site we wouldn’t be allowed to type out a bio, but we could change stuff around like their favorite food, etc. Or just characteristics (the personality) of the pet. I think this would be more suitable for older players, but there could be an option to keep the bio as it is if you like it. I would love this idea to come true because I make up personalities and favorite foods for my pets beforehand, and usually the bios in the game are very inaccurate to mine. Hope someone takes this into consideration. =^^=

I too have misspelled names in haste and wish there was the ability to correct them.

    • beaubo says:

i have two pets with the same name. Luwy is cute!

  7. RosyFox says:

Huh…that’s pretty cool, I must say, although I’m homeschooled. :)

  8. tinygma says:

SAD I have grandkids in high school . If I do this and a fundraiser it would embarrass them and I just can’t do this . I will still buy WEBKINS that is no problem it is just a teenager thing . and some kids can be cruel . Even if teens still play on line and their close friends know .

    • RosyFox says:

I don’t think being a teenager and being into Webkinz is weird or babyish at all. I’m a teenager, and I still love Webkinz! They shouldn’t be so embarrassed, but I guess I understand. :1

      • FoxesRule612 says:

I’m not embarrassed but my parents make fun of me since I play anyway. XP I wish people didn’t judge others just because they like something “unusual”, or something they think is childish.

    • resolution22 says:

I wish they had this fundraiser when I was in elementary school! :) I’m in high school now and I don’t think my school would do this. I’m probably about the only one who plays webkinz at my school. At least, I don’t know anyone else who does.

      • bear10201 says:

I play on my sons account he started when he was 6. He is now in high school. I love playing and do so every day! I buy more virtual pets than plush now. No plans to give up anytime soon:)

        • lavadragon says:

I agree with you tinygma. I do wish that ยง came out with this a bit earlier, well, a few years ago because that’s when their was a huge webkinz hype. I remember kids actually bringing Webkinz to school and playing during recess, but those days are long gone. I believe that I’m the only kid in my high school that plays webkinz still. But I definitely agree with ya tinygma

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh no need for Webkinz Auction Baskets; THIS IS TERRIFIC!!! Does it apply to college-age group(s) Fundraising?

    • Mandy Webkinz says:

Hi 50ishwebbies! There is no reason a college-age group couldn’t sign up. There is a link in this article to the Ganz Parent Club article where you can find contact info and a downloadable PDF that you can share with your group.

      • 50ishwebbies says:

Thanks a ton Mandy!!! Printed the info and gave it to the RA yesterday at college drop off! Their fundraising agenda is already planned, but even if they choose not to do it this year, I can still support another schools’ efforts until next year! I think this is WIN WIN <3
