Every season I am able to complete all of the free challenges and tell myself that I am not going to spend money to purchase the paid pass items. This season I was thrilled that Ganz offered the flashing light hat in the free section, but then I saw the Mrs. Santa Kinz outfit and I want that. I was hoping against hope about this horse. Since I started playing this game I have been slowly collecting items to build a fun fair and park in my rear yard. I think having 3 or 4 horses would be perfect but I am also sure that it will be impossible to trade for them. I have been trying since trading began to trade for 1 or 2 of the baby octopus merry go round. They are shown as a W shop valued item and I have offered to purchase anything for a trader willing to trade the baby octopus merry go round but I keep being told that I don’t have anything that they want. Am I confused about how the W shop valued items work? Why will traders only trade for items that they don’t have? I have made many trades just in order to help out a new trader or to help a trader get a much desired item. If it is in your trading album why not trade it to help someone else out and put the newly acquired item in your trading album to trade on. I am very sorry for the length of this post. These are just my humble opinions.

hello fair Next trader–your point was a bit hard to find, but i got it & i get Ya! i always buy the upgrade, but i completely get you on the baby octopus–i, too, have been trying to get that item since i knew it existed. i do not have any kid pets and never will on this account (have a perfect one in real life and nearly a thousand on classic). i believe this item is no big deal for anyone with babies & players should be way more generous to trade items like it!! i have found most traders rude since trading started on Next, but it IS the absolute right of anyone not to make or to cancel any trade before it is completed. i think an experienced and intuitive trader can tell when a serious trade is being made, and they will be willing to make TWO TRADES in order to satisfy both players. however, if the other player is not as savvy there may be some big disappointment. well, i too have said much. hope this in some way is helpful. best, k.

When it comes to trading, I understand your pain, but I also have to admit that I am also one of the players who has both been generous to others (if I have enough of a certain item), while also being on the picky side (if the item is particularly rare and/or I have very few of that item). When others trade for Wshop value items, how rare/valued the item is depends on a few factors: when the item was released, is it still obtainable, and how the item was obtained. The octopus merry-go-round was released as a community challenge prize recipe in late May 2021 and those who participated in the community challenge have the recipe permanently. Because that was a while ago, there may not be a lot of players remaining who have the recipe. I am also unsure if the recipe can still be made (or if it involves materials that can no longer be obtained – like red roses that were released as materials in February 2022 that were used in a recipe to make a vase of roses). I can’t speak for everyone, but when it comes to items that are rare or in limited quantity, I think that people will be naturally more hesitant to trade them unless if you give them something that they perceive to be of equal value (which is something that they probably do not have). I know that I wrote a lot too, but I hope that this helps explain why others tend to be more reluctant to trade certain items more than others. I would recommend to still try to look for others who are willing to give out the reindeer rider because that item is much more common than the merry-go-round since the rider is being given out this season.

Hi Dorothy839. I looked up the recipe for the baby octopus merry go round and I have it. Answer with your Next user ID and I will add you as a friend and we can trade. The recipe takes alot of plastic and steel but nothing rare.

Hi Joker1411. Thank you so much for your reply and for your very kind offer to trade the baby octopus merry go round with me. My user ID is Emerald Sweetfriend . Due to age and health issues I am very slow using the mouse and I have recently lost most of my eyesight which also slows me down. I play this game to try to keep my mind sharp and many of the arcade games help me with that. I will continue to play as long as I am able. Is your User ID Joker1411? Thank you again.
