Hey, it’s Elwin here. Our friend, PJ Collie had some really good news lately. The landlord of her basement apartment told her they were renovating the whole building and she could choose the new fixtures that she wanted. PJ had some KinzCash saved up too so she thought it would be the perfect excuse to get rid of her old mishmash of furniture and invest in some new pieces to go with the new look.
This is PJ’s place before. She really needs a better workspace in the kitchen, and her bedroom furniture is pretty, but in an open concept space she really needs to tie all the colors together better. I don’t think those pink pieces are working with the rest of the apartment. She also wants some more storage space and Hailey and I have a great idea on how to tie in extra closet space with a new bathroom enclosure that will be a little more private.
So here is the end result. PJ asked her landlord for the Pop Star Wallpaper and Flooring. For her kitchen she went with a Psychedelic Circles Counter island with a couple of Golden Trend Kitchen Stools, and an Avante Condo Counter flanked by a Good as Golden Stove and a Taste for Gold Fridge. She also showed her landlord our idea for built-in closets around the bathroom and he really liked it so he had those installed too, along with some Dance Studio Long Mirrors. Although we didn’t change the layout of the bathroom at all the final design was much more functional.
Once we had the bones of the room in place, we could start to add flair with furniture pieces. We drew a lot on the 70’s theme, the Golden theme and the Avant Condo theme because they picked up the orange in the wallpaper nicely. In our bedroom, we started with a Gold Standard Rug and then combined 70’s items like the Groovy Digs Dresser and the Copasetic Chair with pieces from the Spa Theme, like the Serenity Slumber Bed, the Gathered Under Glass Side Table and we blocked off the space with a few Solitude Dividers. We accessorized with a Pile of Persian Pillows. In the living room we laid down the Psychedelic Circles Rug and then mixed pieces like the Outta Sight Orbital Chair, the Sit On It Sofa, and the Avante Condo Modular Sofa. We shed some light on the subject with the Let’s Boogie Lamp and we thought that the Deep Jungle Television was a fun touch. And she has a workspace tucked behind the sofa with the Artist’s Desk.
PJ loves the look and we think it goes really well with her colorful personality.
Realy, really, ORANGE!
