We’re so excited about the new Cactus Cat designed by player 20littlered03! This prickly pet is due to be released for sale in Ganz eStore and in the W Shop starting on Webkinz Day – April 29, 2020!
While we already have an idea for this pet’s Pet Specific Food (stay tuned to Webkinz Newz for more info on the PSF in the future!) we had two great ideas for the Pet Specific Item but we just can’t decide.
So we decided to enlist your help! We asked the talented art department to come up with two concept drawings for our ideas. It’s not going to be easy – they’re both amazing and either would make a fantastic PSI for the Cactus Cat!

The cactus garden is lovely and inspirational. Truly unique. Definitely a selling point, and since there is no plush to fall in love with, the garden would add incentive to acquire this pet.
The bed is a bit lackluster — beautiful, but not extraordinary. It’s simply comfy cozy spiky covers, with a headboard shaped like a cactus. Not to hurt feelings, it’s not really immersive. Remember the old beds? The curled up dragon breathing smoke? Dogbeard’s bed and the other cool pirate bed? The beautiful flower beds? If the Cactus cat has a psf of a bed, why not make it amazing? A three-dimensional cut away, or a cactus cat condo with platforms and hollows. After all, the real cactus has white flowers, red fruits, and birds nest in it.
The garden, on the other hand, feels new, yet fits with all the rocky bits Webkinz have made before. It could inspire a cool outside canyon room, or an entire desert-theme. I hope I haven’t offended or insulted the design team.

The bed because it is more helpful. That way the kitten will have a place to sleep in and we won’t have to buy a new bed if we adopt this pet.
