How do I use Skill Cards?

Check out this guide to one of the Kinzville Academy’s
coolest features!

We designed Skill Cards as a way for you to specialize each of your pets’ talents. You can collect Skill Cards to improve your pets’ abilities. The more points you apply to a pet, the higher their level will be and the more benefits they’ll receive.

Skill Cards

Skill Cards can be purchased at the Kinzville Academy with School Ribbons.

Each skill card grants BONUS abilities to specific pets while playing in Kinzville – from moving faster, to getting bonuses when Gem Mining, and more.  Be sure to purchase a Skill Card for the skill you’d most like your pet to excel in.

Do any of these skill cards help your pet not run around the room crazily like they don’t know where they are going? It’s tiring watching them run around like they are blindfolded instead of in a straight line. Similarly in the park as well? Makes me dizzy in the up close setting.

A future suggestion: would it be possible to make the skills show up when you open your list of pets? Sometimes I forget who has what skill and I have to go to the academy statue and click through each one. It would be nice to see them at a glance when I click the pawprint!

Does anyone know if you can change a pet’s skill? I applied a mining skill card to my favorite pet, but want to change that slot to sewing. Thanks.

If you purchase a Level 5 card, do you automatically get the bonuses for the Levels 1-4?

    • sally says:

You can’t buy a Level 5 card. You can buy a 5 point card. Each level requires an increasing number of points. A 5 point card will skip you straight to level 2, but you’ll need to purchase more point cards for each subsequent level.

Hi sally, I know I have over 10 pets. Minus the infants. I give you permission to go in my account look at all my pets and I’m sure they all have five points in the , the mining, negotiating n maybe 1 on speed.. I’ve done that gown so many times.. no pink pants have appeared on my sewing board. Have another question pls. How do you start all over if that’s the case. Ty

        • sally says:

5 points is not the same thing as level 5. You’ll need 15 points to get to level 3, which is when the pink pants recipe unlocks.

Here is a pet that has 5 points of Sewing Skill. You can see that they are level 2, with the bar underneath empty. The next unlock at level 3 will give them the pink pants recipe and the discount at the Wish Boutique. 10 more points are required to reach the next level (two more 5 point Sewing Skill cards). When you add 5 points, you’ll see the bar beneath the Level 2 fill halfway.

This pet has maxed out Sewing Skill. You can see it shows Level 5 and a full bar underneath it.
