I’ve been reading the comments and responses on this and the other article, and have learned that nothing except user names transfer, and that’s fine, however I think it would be a really nice addition if we could reuse Webkinz codes like Ganz did with Amazing World and the hamsters, I think it would be a good way to get a jump start on new Webkinz.

I`m not into this style but whoever does play it I hope you enjoy it! I`m glad to hear your still working on a new version for PC owners, I`ll still be playing the classic webkinz though!!!

This looks like it’ll have great potential!! I can’t wait to see what it will be like when it’s released. I had a few questions about it: 1) I know that Mazin Hamsters had a similar game concept to this, and it ran pretty slowly for me and would freeze up frequently. Will this game do the same? 2) Will all our pets from our Classic Webkinz accounts translate into 3D versions in this Webkinz? I would love to see my Pegasus as a 3D pet :D 3) What Will this mean for classic Webkinz?

I think this is great, so long as it’s not meant to replace “Webkinz Classic”! It would be so sad for Webkinz to end up like Club Penguin- the 3D version is just not the same, I miss the original game so much :( Also, I have a 1 year old niece that I would love to be able to play Webkinz Classic with a few years down the line!

I thought you said this was compatible with Android devices? I figured this would be too small to play on my phone so I tried to load it on my Samsung Galaxy A tablet, which has the latest version of Android. Lo and behold it tells me “this is incompatible with your device.” Android 10 on my phone and Android 10 on my tablet should be the same thing!

weeniesmom, I’m having the same problem! I think I will always prefer Webkinz Classic, and I do think that the 3D is a little eeny-weeny bit creepy, but I decided to give it a shot, because why not? Maybe it’s super fun. However, I have the same tablet, Android 10 up and running, and incompatible! I think I might just take a pass on this one though, because I just bought Deljxe and to find out my pets, items, and membership will not carry on. And from reading these comments, the vast majority agrees.

Will we be able to have gardens and have farm fresh food to eat and sell? Everything takes so much money…I need a better way to make money than the games.

I cannot find it in the play store on my samsung galaxy

A great first introduction for the new generation of Webkinz players! Love the new design features and looking forward to supporting both games.

I guess I just don’t understand. Thought Ganz was working on a new version because Flash was ‘going away’ at the end of Dec. So how can the ‘Classic’ version be available for years to come if it’s based on Flash? I hope Ganz is correct, because I’m not a huge fan of the new 3D version as opposed to the original. Will try to be patient & open minded, but …. I have played and enjoyed Webkinz for 12 years – and spent a lot of money on the game – & I am heart broken to think the original may just fade away. Thanks for any explanation to help me understand the Flash issue & how the Classic version will operate without it after Dec 31.

You will be able to play Webkinz Classic using the current desktop app after Flash support for web browsers goes away. It will continue to run on its own separate version of Flash.

      • KarenaJ says:

Ok now I’m confused, Steve. I thought GANZ was fixing it so that there’s no reliance on Flash Player at all in the desktop version of Webkinz Classic. I thought it stated that clearly in the Flash end of life article?

        • KarenaJ says:

Ok, nevermind I figured it out reading Sally’s newer comments on that article, but it is a very confusing time, between the end of browser play and the rollouts of desktop, stand alone desktop version, along with the intro of the new game. I hope folks don’t get confounded!

        • Steve Webkinz says:

They are removing Flash Player from browsers but the technology running the desktop app is separate from all that. It may no longer be called “Flash” but it will work the same way.
