Finding the ghost is easy thank goodness but the GOBLIN is so very hard. 10 TIMES finally and I got it. I get next to cottage and wait wait wait. PUMPKINS FLOAT I can’t get them because of WAIT WAIT I am stuck ! CAN’T you find some way to fix this ?

You may have too many windows open at once. If you close all but the window of the current account, you should find that the pumpkins float a lot easier, freely. Same with the pouches. If you have several accounts open simultaneously that reduces your speed of your computer (or laptop) and it makes it nearly impossible to catch those pumpkins. Laptops are not nearly as forgiving as Desktop PC’s, either. They are slower to begin with because laptops are optimized for portability. Desktops stay at the same place all the time and that means the feed is consistent, even if the desktop and the laptop have the same specs. A desktop has more ability to keep the system running cooler, less chance of dropping the internet because it is usually hooked in to the modem/router. There are a lot of other things at play, here, too. So many of the programs running in your laptop require the power that you are trying to dedicate to your game. This can cause your laptop to overheat and THAT really slows things down, because you can cook your motherboard if you run it hot. So, pare down what you have open to what you wish to dedicate your time to. If it means you get less pumpkins, it’s still certainly better than frying your laptop and not being able to play at all.

Related to that, I know my laptop has some performance settings that slow everything down in order to extend the battery life and prevent overheating. Turning that off helps me. But like dixiecup said, close all your other tabs and windows. Make sure your internet connection is strong. Try a different internet browser. Webkinz runs unbearably slow for me in Firefox, but Chrome runs great. Also, I know some events need the ads to work (I believe the reading room ghost does) but for events that don’t require ads, try turning them off. I can’t play arcade games with ads on because the lag makes it impossible. I hope you can get something to work! I know how frustrating that can be. Webkinz takes a lot of CPU to run. I have a laptop with great specs that can run Minecraft and Netflix and Youtube simultaneously with no trouble, not to mention my physics research simulations XD, but as soon as I start Webkinz the fans rev up to maximum power LOL. Good luck!

Thanks for writing and trying to help. I have just 1 window and brouser at a time open. SO MANY pets are in the room nothing seams to work I need to go again and again in and out to get Goblin.I have a laptop . I try so hard to get in near midnight when fewer are on. I am still waiting for a black ninja costume but there’s still time. LOVE everything so far . I almost missed the 1st day of costumes I never saw pumpkins till after 5 pm eastern. But I got em . Thabjs again I always clear history and everything before playing. I am in real life 62 and having so much fun here better than POGO ;) !! But thank you both so much. It just gets so frustrateing sometimes. In my dreams I would like to use Chrome , FireFox and another server to run tv to my real tv and cut the cord. But thats really pushing it I am thinking of a new laptop next year But changeing over so everything moves same on new and old laptop I will lose a few days of play . THERE IS NEVER any good time to miss playing . I may need to live at the library a few days to do that If I can get both sons to get librry cards I can use their puter time and have 3 hours a day registering in on each. They allow only an hour per person a day. I would pay for more time if they would let me. It would be a nice way for them to make a lil more money unless others need to use them that is. Greed is not good if it hurts others. We try to be kind :)

This year’s prize is A+ outstanding!! The ghost items are so incredible, so lovely and haunting while refraining from being too gruesome and keeping the spirit (hehe) of things fun and old-world stylish. Marvelous work! Thanks to all of you on the team at Ganz and Happy Halloween!

So spooky! I can’t wait to see the Haunted Organ in action! I don’t even know if this is possible, but since you can collect candy every 6 hours, is it possible to complete the collection twice and earn two grand prizes?

    • Wizardsroost says:

It never has been before. You can keep getting candy, but not another prize. Since they allow the collection events to roll over and play again, I sure wish they’d do that to this one, too. Especially this year. Best grand Halloween prize ever! (I do miss when the time between collecting candies would get shorter as the end of the event ended, though. Octobers always end up brutal for me time-wise, because of a highly stressful real life event. )
