Once again, your submissions to our Pet Buddy Design Contest blew us away! There were over 700 fantastic entries and it was so hard to narrow it down to just 10 finalists – so we didn’t! We actually ended up with 12 finalists, of which we are planning to make three Pet Buddies.

We tried to select finalists based on the originality, creativity and how well it fits into Webkinz World. Our artists will be taking three of these ideas and bringing them to life. The grand prize winners will receive a Pet Design Trophy, all three of the winning Pet Buddies, plus 3 months of Deluxe Membership. And all of the finalists will each receive a Spring Super Mystery Bag – courtesy of Ganz eStore!
While the final decision is up to the Creative Team at Ganz, we want to hear what YOU think of the finalists. Please check out the list and then take a moment to vote for your favorite by clicking the button at the bottom of the list.

I’m usually in love of everything that is brought before us. Can’t believe these are the best of 700. 4 of them don’t go with webkinz. The gingerbread man I the best for Christmas. The star is my 2nd choice. The alien is ok, there is other alien stuff. 3rd would be balloon dog, only because there’s no other dog’s given. Not being negative, just was expecting more. Will love them I’m sure.
These are not judged simply on artistic talent. We’re looking at the concepts, as well as technical feasibility.

Piper. Is. Adorable. What a cute idea to create a little Gingerbread Man pet buddy!! I know several of my Webkinz pets would be happy to adopt such a sweet little pet buddy! Also, what a great pet buddy to have around the holidays! :)

I spent a lot of time on my Rainbow Winged Seal, and while I was disappointed not to win, congratulations to all the finalists. My favorites were the Balloon Dog and Woodland Spirit.
Oh my goodness. I know what you mean. I had concepts drawn up and when I went to submit there were so many similar that I withdrew. I will try another time. Don’t worry that your hard work wasn’t recognized, the were a LOT of terrific submissions and everyone seems to have put a lot of thought into it. Keep submitting, though. Your work will only get better from here ;)

I like the octopus, balloon dog, gingerbread man, parrot, alien, woodland spirit & star. Pittiesrule
I think the star isn’t a drawing.
Although I really love the alien “Orbit” and the balloon dog, the woodland spirit feels like the spirit of webkins to me. I think Beardog has the best concept. Way to go!
Congratulations to finalist. Cute designs! My favorites are Raccoon, Balloon Dog and Piper. Does Raccoon disappear and you can only see the tail? Cause that’s what it looks like and that would be so cool. Well done everyone!!
Piper is one of my favorites too! Actually, Piper IS my favorite, but there are others that I like as well. :)

That’s a really tough call! I like both of your designs, so much! Yours is vibrant and happy, Resonating Thunder’s is cute and I like the twisty tail idea. I’m wondering if it will whirl like a propeller when it’s hovering. I wonder if yours will open it’s carapace to reveal bright glittery wings!
