We’re topping off Valentine’s Day with an extra treat – the shortlist of this year’s Pet Design finalists! The 2024 Pet Design Contest had over 800 amazing entries! We are so impressed by the talent and creativity of our players!
This year’s contest is extra-special because for the first time ever, the winning pet will be made into a virtual pet in Webkinz Next as well as Webkinz Classic! The pet will be available to purchase at Ganz eStore and in the Next Adoption Center starting on Webkinz Day, April 29, 2024.
It wasn’t easy to whittle the list of fantastic entries down but after much discussion we are excited to announce the 10 pet design finalists for 2024.
Of course, we can’t make the final decision without feedback from YOU! Please check out the finalists and watch Webkinz Newz this weekend for your chance to vote for your favorite!

How were the finalists picked? What were the judging criteria?
Webkinz staff went through and picked their favorites. Then we internally voted over the short list.
Oh cool, this is my first time entering the contest so I wasn’t sure how it was decided. Thanks for hosting it, I had a ton of fun!

Lucy Lane, your pets were absolutely amazing, it must have been really hard to choose and I bet you were among those they had to choose from before narrowing it down. It’s just a matter of time and I bet we will see a Lucy Lane original in there 😍

That Griffin is stunning and regal! It would hit the top of my list as a new pet. I can imagine them flying around in my room and the clubhouse, turning other pets’ heads. Congratulations on being chosen!
Unfortunately the griffin won’t fly in next :(
I have dabbled in Next and it really doesn’t matter to me if the pet doesn’t fly in Next. It’s a beautiful pet and who knows? With all of the progress they are making it could be a reality some day. Look at how long it took them to get us bunkbeds, but they did it! Never say Never 😎
