There is only one small seller of Webkinz in my area and they restrict your purchase to one pet per person because they get a very small number of each pet. They will call interested people when the Webkinz come in so at least I know when to head to the store. They do not take on-line orders or telephone orders. I did not purchase the pets in the estore so others could have a chance to get one since they are so limited. I mostly purchase the new pets to play in Next. I really don’t need the plush so I resell the plush with the unused classic code only on Ebay. I list them for a reduced price from what i paid plus shipping since there is no Next code. I am not looking to make a big profit, just give someone an opportunity to get the pet if they can’t find one in their area.

I’m so thrilled a brand new generation of Webkinz plushies have been so enormously successful! Many of us have been playing for 20 years, and we hope to continue playing 20 more! (I know I hope to!!) But it really does break my heart to know so many players are unable to find Webkinz plush in brick and morter stores, or through reputable online retailers. A big problem is the secondary market. Dealers scoop up Webkinz the second they’re released and list them on Mercari or e-bay for prices that are totally obnoxious. I actually saw a black and white cat for $165.00 on ebay–that’s beyond ridiculous. It would be helpful if sales reps encouraged retailers to sell only one of each pet to a customer: If 5 pets are released, a customer could purchase one of each of those five different pets–but not multiple quantities of each pet. Same with e-store: players should be allowed to purchase one of each pet, not multiple quantities. This would not eliminate the secondary market—but it might slow down the buyers a little. Right now, it’s the players and the fans whose purchase ability is being slowed down. No wonder players and fans are feeling so disappointed and frustrated–we’re the ones who love and treasure the game, and collect the plush for our own personal enjoyment. Selling pets from the e-store on a regular basis would be so helpful, especially for players who don’t live near a Webkinz retailer. I’ve considered that the e-store may not be set up to do such a large volume of shipping, and that’s certainly a huge consideration for Ganz….. And finally, if Ganz wants to ramp up production a little bit, there will be plenty of fans and players who would be incredibly happy! Many of us weren’t able to get the pets released from October 2025, so yes—if you manufacture them, we will buy!!

Yeah I was not able to get any of the plush from October they all sold out. I hope they restock the October 2025 plush. I also think Webkinz is playing it safe and collecting data which is a smart thing to do. By sending only a few of each plush’s to stores they can see how fast they sold out and make the order bigger if it’s really popular. As they would not want to send a lot of plush to a store that is not selling out while there are other stores that sell out within 2 days.

What would be nice is knowing what the plan is. I, like so many others, haven’t had the chance to get even one of these new releases. So what is the plan? Are more going to be released? If so, which ones? And why are some of the plush in the next store, some not, I see none of the new line in the eStore at all now. Can we please just know what the plan is? Personally, I don’t mind waiting, it’s something to look forward to, but it would be nice to know what is possible and what is just not going to happen. And if these plush are not going to be restocked, why can’t we have virtual versions? Who would it hurt? The greedy resellers? Please oh please, we just want to know what to expect. Thank you.

  5. chickenlittleROX says:

Maybe this is a good indicator that not all people live near these distributors.

I’m feeling so lucky our local seller had them today and I got my cow and 2 corgi’s!

  7. rachelgirl192 says:

oh, this was quick. I am appalled by the stories where re-sellers charge so much!!

  8. kkofoed says:

Off topic, but I think the search feature at the estore is not working correctly at the moment.

  9. 100dogs says:

Will there be other shipments of the first 12 that came out in October and the other 3 that came out in December?

Everyone, check online at capecodgiftbarn.com and Steve’s Hallmark website they are selling them for $30 :)

Great tip! Thank you so much! I do have a store that isn’t extremely far from my home, so I will leave these from Steve’s Hallmark for all of the players who don’t have that option. But it is good to know about these shipping options for the future, as this new line is extremely difficult to find. I am still hoping and praying for an additional and increased supply of the first 12 from last October, as I really want the german shepherd. *fingers crossed*

It’s really a shame that we can’t find any more right now as they would make the perfect Valentine’s gift. I got two for Christmas, and I was very happy!

    • misshippolover says:

Thank you so much!!! I couldn’t find them near me at all, but Steve’s still had some in stock!
