It’s me again – The Black Cat! I still can’t believe I’m the Pet of the Month. Soooo, if you’ve watched my Pet of the Month video (and I hope you have) you know that I just love to dance. But I’ll bet there are a few other things you don’t know about me.
You know – some people think that Black Cats are unlucky. Well, let me tell you – they’ve got it all wrong. The people of Great Britain and Japan are the ones who have got it right. They know that a black cat is actually a symbol of good luck. In Scotland they say that a black cat’s arrival signals prosperity and some people believe that a lady who owns a black cat will be lucky in love.
I’m with those folks – not the ones who are always dissing us.

i have a black cat her name is shadow.shes adorable, but every time someone comes near her she scares them. i hope she changes that!

I LOVE black cats! They are so adorable, I have 2 Named Gracie and Griz. I love them both to death! I found gracie under a Semi truck at a construction site a few years ago. She was just a kitten! How is that bad luck when i ended up with a kitten? Black cats AREN’T unlucky.
I don’t believe the superstitions about black cats. I had a black cat, and he was the sweetest, most lovable and loyal cat ever. And, black cats are just so cute !

You can say that again! I love black kitties, and pretty much any other kitty you can name, all except persians, and bald cats. I liked that bit about black cats in Scotland, that’s interesting! And taytay1297, I’m glad you found little Gracie and she has a good home now! You are both lucky you could keep her! I have one cat, he is striped, and when last seen he was upstairs taking a nap. I love kitties!

I think you’re right about the Persian cat being most popular in the USA! I was watching Cats 101 a few days ago and they said they were the #1 cat in America! The Maine Coon is in a close 2nd. :)

Actually I love all animals, even weird ones, but I have a black cat that I adopted from the rescue shelter. He purrs crazy loud, and he expects attention from me every moment. He gets lonely, and at 2 months old he was rescued. Last night he was yowling outside my bedroom door for me at get this; 12:30
i took in a black cat her and her sisters and brother they were a couple months old and we took them in because if we didnt they would of been outside in the snow on christmas so we took them in and one that we are keeping is luna she is all black with big orange eyes and is a polydactyl (extra toes) she is so cute and i a very good jumper she loves to jump for her toys!

i have a polydactyl cat too! his name is mr. shoester. that is because mr. shuester is a character from glee
and my cat has extra toes so it he had shoes they would fit him weirdly. he is mr. SHOEster!

Hey, I posted that in one of comments a few days ago!! :smile: Once again, I would like to mention that I LOVE ALL ANIMALS. YES, ALL OF THEM. I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THEM. When I am older I plan to be an AstroVet. An astrovet is an Astronaut who is also a vet. SO when NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) sends animals in space to a planet or the ISS, I will go with them and help them in space!! Or I wil just be a vet….I am still thinking!!I LOVE ALL ANIMALS!!! To those of you who DONT like animals: GIVE THE POOR THINGS A CHANCE!! You know, they have feelings too! Sorry if it sounds like I am yelling: First, I just wanna get the point across to give ALL animals a chance and that I love them ALL
