It’s always hard to choose 20 finalists for the Room Design Awards, but I think everyone in this group deserves to win! Unfortunately only 10 designers will win a trophy, but you should all be proud to have made it to the finals… Good luck! Voting begins Thursday, March 17, and I will be announcing the winners on Monday, March 21.
Please take the time to look over each design carefully. You will be asked to pick your top 5 favorites when it’s time to vote:

From Thursday, March 17, – Sunday, March 20 (ending midnight, EST), players can vote for their top 5 favorite designs. The 6 designers who receive the most votes will be awarded a Room Design Trophy. The final 4 winners will be chosen by the Webkinz Newz Team. Sally, Mandy, Steve and I will each choose our favorite room design and the designers will be awarded a Room Design Trophy.

PS to my other comment… My coworker also played Webkinz years ago, and when I told him about my room being a finalist in a design contest, he said, “If you win you can put it on your LinkedIn page.” LOL

We are so excited to have our restaurant selected as a finalist! Totally took a screen shot of that! We have also won in the past. We are so delighted that you like our restaurant so much! Putting together rooms in Webkinz has been such a haven during these strange times and seeing our rooms displayed here is so much fun! We thought Boper911′s idea of sharing was so wonderful. If you’d like to visit our restaurant that had been displayed, it is open to the public. FYI, there is a dress code. Formal attire only. Heh heh heh!

It was my privilege to win a room design award two years ago. My understanding was that past winners could not win again. So, for that reason alone, I was surprised to see Boper’s name on this list. However I am not at all surprised that he has withdrawn his room, because not only is he an incredibly gifted designer, he is an amazing and honourable person. Boper, your integrity speaks for itself! Good luck to the other designers who haven’t won before.
There is no rule about previous winners not being allowed to win again.
@Sally Webkinz, when my Saving the Koala Room was featured, an announcement was made then that if people had won before, they could not win again. Many people said that the room should win an award. At the time, special mention was made by Michael about the room and he added that because I had won earlier, I could not win again. Kibarry received special comment about her many great rooms and was advised of this as well in the same comment. We both described that statement as respectful and fair. That statement was subsequently repeated at a later date as well, more than once, that people could not win twice.
Fair. Other contests do not have any such restriction, but if Michael wants to run his that way, that’s on him. I believe there have been repeat winners in the past, so this must be a newer condition.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe he made this rule in March 2020.
I try not to pick players who have won in the past, but there have been a few who have won more than once.
