Introducing Daycare for Kids, coming soon to Webkinz Next!
Just like daycare for your babies, daycare offers a way to earn growth moments for your kids and help them along on their way to adulthood. You can send your kids to daycare once every eight hours, and each time they return, they’ll have earned another growth moment. It takes 15 growth moments for a kid to grow into an adult, so daycare can really help you reach that goal.
You can send one kid or baby to daycare for free and after that you pay 250 KinzCash per pet, whether it is a kid or a baby. You can send your kids to daycare from the Pet Finder, using either the list view or the Pet View.
And just so you don’t lose track of your kids when you send them to daycare, there is an adorable reminder. If your kid is sitting on a seat when you send them to daycare, while they’re away that seat will be occupied by a cute teddy bear. Please note, if your kid is standing up while it’s at daycare you will not see the teddy bear but that kid will reappear in the same spot when it returns from daycare.
Daycare for kids will be coming to Webkinz Next after the next release. What a great way to make sure all your kids get the care they need!

This will be a great help! I put my pets to bed when I’m not playing with them, so when they return from daycare, they should still be in bed? I know they don’t have to be put to bed, but I am still in the habit from the days of Dr. Quack telling us to put them to bed to keep them healthy.
If your kid is in bed when you send it to daycare, a teddy will appear on the bed. They will return to the bed when they get back.

I would much prefer to save those growth moments for points in challenges especially with babies. I’m purposely ignoring my baby requests to save it’s growth points for as long as possible.
But I think this is a great update since in my opinion, it is much easier to stall getting growth points for kid pets than it is for baby pets. For baby pets, every time you interact with them, it gives them a growth moment which will eventually be converted to a growth point. But for kid pets, if you feed them, have them exercise, and bring them to the arcade at different points in time, you can technically fill their hearts every day without adding a single growth moment on that pet. If there is a mission that asks to send a baby or kid pet to daycare, you would probably be more likely to have an option available after the update than what is available right now.
For those who wish to accelerate growth, this is a good idea. While some of us are happy to have certain pets stay kids or babies, sometimes you have a goal of sparking a certain pet, and you need to age up a specific kid to get you one step closer to your dream pet. This is a smart move Ganz team.
