i am very disappointed. i dont even want to do the challenge. we have tons of the candle & already have the fun box. it would be nice to have a choice, new or old. but there should be a new one every year. very very unhappy
I’m very surprised by some of the reactions on here to some of the comments. Deluxe members pay for a service. They have every right to express their opinions about said service. It is, in fact, in the best interests of the company to receive this feedback, it helps them keep their customers satisfied and avoid going out of business. No Deluxe member should be scolded for expressing an opinion, nor should they be criticized for being “ungrateful”, they’re not being “given” anything, they’re paying for the service! If they’re not satisfied, the company needs to know! I personally feel that this entire year has been a lot of re-runs of old prizes, nice for some who are new here or want duplicates. But after an entire year of that it’s time to move on to something new. The re-introduction of the Fun to be Young theme as a Deluxe challenge prize was pretty surprising, makes me wonder again whether they’ve let go some designers… In any case, everyone gets to have an opinion, even if it doesn’t agree with yours!
Point taken, sorry if it seemed as though some of us are ‘scolding’ others and being dismissive.
No apologies necessary, friend. This was not personal to anyone, just a general observation. Ganz does read these comments, does listen to the players and sometimes actually make changes based on what the people say. They need to know what we think. Reading uncomplimentary comments may not be fun, but they serve a purpose.
On a brighter note, I just opened the December Deluxe gift box and the !!!new!!! Festive Wreath Hat is really quite nice. And festive! I love it.
Thank you for writing this! I’m also surprised to see that all three items are old, and what happened to getting a wish token with the deluxe challenge prize instead of food? Side note, maybe it’s just me but I wish there wasn’t an event running nearly every day of the year; having a life outside of webkinz, items have piled up in my dock from events that are rather time consuming, and sometimes I wish the events would take a break every now and then so I can just sit back and design a room.
LOL CocoaBunny, I have to admit I’m having trouble keeping up with all of the events myself! Most of my Webkinz time these days is being devoted to making videos in my rooms, it will be nice to find some time to decorate a new Christmas room with the new theme this year. It will be the first room I’ve made that’s not specifically designed for a video in months! I can’t wait. Going to the WShop right now!

I’m excited to be able to do this one. Came up one souvenir purchase short this month and I am so sad I missed out because the candle and tower were super cool. This months’ prizes seem more standard, but I’m not sad, there is so much to get and do in December already!

I just started back playing, after 6 years, in April so I am so happy to see these items. If you have them, or don’t like them, don’t try to get them. I don’t understand all the negativity. I appreciate Ganz not just catering to the veteran players.
These are terrible prizes. I like the gift box, but the other two prizes?? A candle and cookie?? Seriously?? I didn’t pay forty five dollars for a ‘deluxe’ candle and cookie- THE CANDLE WAS GIVEN OUT PREVIOUSLY WITH A CLICK TO WIN OR WINTERFEST. This is really disrespectful for paying members.
I don’t think they are being disrespectful. I think they are good prizes. Everyone likes something different. Personally, I like the candle, I think it would make a good piece for an end table. The Fun to Be Young gift box is also really nice. Think of all the other great stuff you get to do and get to have for the price of a deluxe membership! One month of prizes you don’t particularly care for should not upset you so much. I hope you have a Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays.
Disappointing, I have all the “it’s fun to be young prizes”. Not great choices for a deluxe challenge IMO.
This is a new theme for me! Even if it wasn’t I don’t mind duplicates. There is always a place for the extra somewhere in my town.
