Sneak peek: Trick-or-Treat Event Starts October 20th!

The ghost is returning to the Clubhouse with new candies and a new grand prize!   Our annual trick-or-treat event is returning the Clubhouse from October 20th to October 31st! Visit the Reading Room in the Clubhouse and look for the ghost. Click on him to receive 1 of 12 delicious candies!   You can collect 1 candy every 3 hours.   Here’s a look at the new and returning candies he’ll be handing out:           Once you’ve collected all 12 candies, you’ll unlock the grand prize. Instead of another Jack O’Lantern, we’ve created a completely NEW prize this year: a Witch’s Broomstick!     What do YOU think of the candies and the new grand prize?     that is sooo cute!!! can’t wait!!!! I miss getting the jack o lanterns but the broomstick is awesome too :)

    The prize is great, and the new candies are cool. So I’m very sad that instead of cool treats, Webkinz X and all the log in and stay logged in issues and other Webkinz problems probably just mean no treats and the trick’s on me.

      I’ve heard that if you’re having trouble try signing in, then go back and close the original log in page. That works for some people. We installed ad blocker on google chrome and that worked wonders getting us running faster and staying logged in.

        Thanks, but I’ve done all that. I can’t get it to run til yet on chrome at all, had to switch to firefox to even have a chance, which I really hate; still have to clear my cache at every. single. login. attempt. and that’s no guarantee. Have to refresh the login page itself after about every ten attempts. And then every few times there’s the thing it does where instead of logging in, the log in page spins itself around as though I logged out. Then say there is that miracle time I actually get an account to log in, and then it freezes…or else I get the menu up and hit Today’s Activities, only to have the game suddenly and abruptly log me right back out. Or I get to Today’s Activities and the game freezes then. Or a pet pops up to annoy me and I don’t stop and think, just click, and then the game freezes because of the new nonsense where changing pets or rooms blurs the screen and freezes the game to the point of having to refresh the page and try to log in AGAIN. I have 15 accounts. Sometimes it takes me the entire. event. window. of an hour just to get into one account. That’s ridiculous. And this computer is less than a year old; it was a gift last Christmas. I have tried all the tips, everything I have seen people post as helpful, nothing helps. And I’ve had Ad block since the day I got the computer. This is my only form of outside communication, I can’t take chances with it. Ugh. I am still trying to tough this out, I am, but it’s been three months now of frustration and hassle and aggravation and despair. (and oh, btw, ganz…still like to get my Christmas 2014 gift boxes before the 2015 ones don’t show up either, we really still desperately need a master switch for all sounds in Webkinz World, and can you please fix this nonsense where you can’t change pets or rooms without having to log in AGAIN, that’s been going on for well over a week now.)

          We’ve recently added game hint screens back into the game when you are loading the pet rooms. There’s currently a known issue causing room loading problems when someone is using an ad blocker. Please remember that Full and Deluxe Members can turn 3rd party ads ON or OFF at any time using the account controls in the Parents Area: https://mci2.webkinz.com/parentarea/p_login.php

            Hi Steve, Perhaps you can help. Because I know they are an important revenue stream I have never bothered to turn the 3rd party ads off. However the video ads cause such a deterioration in response time I decided to try. It used to be that I could just close the window where the login button was but now that they are in Webkinz World I need to do something else! I have 3 accounts and use Safari as my browser (and have Firefox as a last resort back up). First it appears that in order to have 3rd party ads not appear, I have to check the box to opt IN in the parental controls area. On the account that I tend to sign in first (not the one I spend the most time on) it works perfectly. On the 2nd account that I sign into it always starts with 3rd party ads showing in both large ad screens. I then have to log out, sign into parental controls opt out, confirm, log in (ads still there), log out, sign into parental controls, opt in, confirm. log in. At this point I will occasionally see a 3rd party ad in the bottom window – not ideal and if I had smaller children I’d be really upset – and when I sign in on the next day I’ll have to repeat it all again. On my 3rd account, I get the occasional 3rd party ad in the bottom window. Any hints/ideas on how to completely stop the 3rd party ads – as far as I can tell my settings in all 3 accounts are the same. If you could get the marketing gurus to go back to “fixed” ads that would be ideal for me :) Thanks in advance for any suggestions you can give me!

          gemrysforest, I am so sorry, to read that your problems are still ongoing, to this extent. :( I was having ALL the same issues, for the longest time. As you say, you may have tried all the suggested “fix its”, but I’ll list a few again, anyway, just in case. Have you updated Adobe flash player; Adobe shockwave; and Java script lately, then cleared cache and restarted your computer? I am unable to play WW in any browser other than Opera. Internet Explorer, with tracking protection, was always the best for me, in all ways, but no longer. I refuse to install windows 10 and suspect that is why IE no longer works for me. Assuming you are not using a Mac / Safari, you may want to try using the Opera browser, with the usual Ad block (plus). Hope everything smooths out; best of luck.

    I love these candies, and is that a broomstick you can actually ride on? I love the broomstick so much, even if you can’t! These candies look delicious!

    thank you for changing the prize getting the same old pumpkin every ye was getting a little tiresome but I think a jack o’lantern is a good prize for collecting candy maybe if you just changed the face options it would be better but I love this broomstick and the 3 new candies nice job ganz!
